Yeah ... even with the occasional guest appearance it just doesn't feel like this comic is part of a wider Marvel Earth.
It was one thing back when he was facing Celestials, cosmic threats, pantheon worries, etc. etc. He didn't need to interact with Marvel Earth to make it work...the issues were packed with dialogue and action. In this series, he's just kinda on Earth, but somehow removed from anything else on earth.
A last page "save the day" appearance in Secret Invasion or something would make a world of difference for him right now.

I was thinking that too, but apparently the Skrull Pantheon aren't just a bunch of chumps. Some might even eclipse the odinforce in power!
Originally posted by ScooblessAfter reading his little appearance in Iron Man I am more uneasy about him in marvel earth than most of you are about him remaining separate. It was one thing when he was a prince, He could learn from what mankind offered and gain humility but now that hes a king its an all new ball game. This isn't supposed to be about a prince who is still a huge braggart and follower, this is about Odin's successor. I am uneasy about his role if he were to fully start interacting with the marvel universe now. Personally I think hes outgrown the avengers and if a writer were to put him on a team now I think it would cheapen his progression. After reading the current Iron Man I couldn't help but think to myself " Would Iron Man really talk this way if it was Odin in front of Him"? π¬

I fear that Thor will mostly use his hammer and lightning against Hulk, then people will claim that Huc = Odinforce.
Though in all honesty, if a 'Thorforce' amped lighting or hammer strike aren't enough to put down a Hulk then they'd be right. The same as if when Odin was in the land of the living if he'd amped himself up and punched\blasted Hulk.
Spoiler:
Surtur wasn't brought back though. He's still with Odin.

FWIW its worth Thor is actually supposed to be weaken during the Secret Invasion arc as he recovers from his mass revival, so even if he doesn't stomp the Skrull its not really a black mark against King Thor.

Reign of blood was a good issue though I am not used to seeing thor this blood thirsty.
Also a good feat for Enchantress bringing back all the dead.
Thor of course just is crazy right now.
