It was one thing back when he was facing Celestials, cosmic threats, pantheon worries, etc. etc. He didn't need to interact with Marvel Earth to make it work...the issues were packed with dialogue and action. In this series, he's just kinda on Earth, but somehow removed from anything else on earth.

A last page "save the day" appearance in Secret Invasion or something would make a world of difference for him right now.

Yeah it's time for Thor to hurt somebody and show some real power I hope it's against the Skrull Gods.

Interview with Loeb

Jeph Loeb: Everything in this title I share with Ed. When we first pitched where it was all going we weren't even sure there was going to be a "Thor" to have in the book. But, thanks to some nifty editorial cooperation—thanks Warren!—we managed to time it correctly. I think folks will be kind of astonished how that story ends…for the time being.

Oh yeah, we're in for a real surprise.....

Red Hulk would one shot Thor with Odin's power, deal with it.

The only way I would be surprised is if Thor won 🙁

That was a substantial hint by Loeb, saying it wasn't a coincidence that the Watcher showed up for the Red & Green smackdown. Red Hulk has a cosmic background...?

in thor secret invasion#1 it says beta ray bill wil team up with thorkongu_w00t

Loeb's about to surprise people with another shitty but invariably action packed book!

I think his kid Sam used to ghost-write for him.

Got That Thor One-shot, Thor: Ages of Thunder its a good one too.

So...
How does the Red Hulk lift the Mjolnir?

by being stronger than Odin, I should imagine.

he pretty much humiliated a Watcher, I'm still wondering if Loeb is going to end up with a Hulk vs Galactus/LT thing...

or whether, in the final issue of the comic, the Red Hulk's fist is going to pop out of the pages and smack the reader for being dumb enough to buy it 😕...

actually, I really enjoyed the Red Hulk - Thor 'fight'... hope they bring back the King Hulk/Scar persona.

This title although well written...it better step up the action, i am finding myself getting disinterested with everything...i like a well written story...but cmon, give us some action

Because Loeb is retarded

man, why would marvel let loeb do this though? this is not a good way to bring thor back into the greater marvel universe.

Because they sell. You know both Hulk and Ultimates 3 are terrible books but are selling out like you wouldn't believe. Its all about money.

yeah, i suppose. its still a shame though.

We should rather talk about Balder of something, one thread to cry about Red Hulk is one too many.

He lifted his hammer and beat the crap out of Thor....

he didn't really lift it as such, in the traditional sense of the term with respect to Mjolnir.

usually it's on the floor and some character attempts to pick it up and fails abysmally, including Maestro Hulk.

Red just took Mjolnir from out of Thor's hand, which is a crackin' demonstration of this Hulk's sharp wits (made me chuckle ✅ ). Surfer's managed to separate and levitate away Mjolnir from Thor, for a period... so actually picking up Mjolnir and grabbing and moving it while it's already "up" are treated differently in comics, it seems.

that said, Red is clearly more intelligent than Surfer in that he actually used Mjolnir against Thor, something Surfer never thought of doing, when he had it away from Thor.
