Thor Discussion

nah, no Hulks can beat Surfer. unless they have some matter/energy manipulation abilities they always get gamma drained or bfred.

but it's true, Surfer did part Mjolnir from Thor - as did Magneto.
it's what Red did with Mjolnir that impressed me for sadism and wit... beating that cod-god with his own mallet. classic.

he didn't really lift it as such, in the traditional sense of the term with respect to Mjolnir.

usually it's on the floor and some character attempts to pick it up and fails abysmally, including Maestro Hulk.

Red just took Mjolnir from out of Thor's hand, which is a crackin' demonstration of this Hulk's sharp wits (made me chuckle ✅ ). Surfer's managed to separate and levitate away Mjolnir from Thor, for a period... so actually picking up Mjolnir and grabbing and moving it while it's already "up" are treated differently in comics, it seems.

that said, Red is clearly more intelligent than Surfer in that he actually used Mjolnir against Thor, something Surfer never thought of doing, when he had it away from Thor.

The comic is out allready?

the own-age seeped onto the forums, like a stream of warm, not yet-sticky blood, oozing across the kitchen floor and under the door.

just enough to know something bad has happened and you don't wanna be opening that door ... but of course, curiosity and the need for sensation will win out and you will open it up to see the gory mess in full ❌

the only thing I await is the 5 dozen peeps on here, who continue to say (quite oblivious to all reason and evidence) that Juggernaut is invincible to physical force, to utter loud and ceaseless cries once the result of Red vs fire hydrant man is on the page.

That was...an odd example.

😖hifty:

i saw the fight between Thor and Red Hulk... sad.

why the hell would anyone listen to Loki ? ever? boobs or not!

I thought the onus against Thor's hammer was more along the line of actually wielding it...(and losing to Red Hulk or not, Juggernaut was there first taking it Thor on the Hammer Express! 😛)

Ive been reading Thor since the early 80's..Ive ..well read pretty much all of them..Enjoyed it greatly for the last 25 years or so but the new run isn't doing much for me..Its slow paced and really isn't getting off the ground..Then Leob comes along and maks it worse..I dont mind seeing thor have a bad showing. Its a comic, part of it..I do have a hard time seeing a writer come in and completely disregard 40 years of storyline though..There had better be a damn good reason for Rhulk being able to weild Mjolnir and it better not have a damn thing to do with physical str either..

Did Red Hulk picked up the hammer?

He did when there was no gravity. Apparently a magical spell is nothing compared to the laws of science!!!

The writing is not so bad when you consider that wolverine arc he did not to long ago. I still dont know what he was smoking when he made wolverine ,Sabretooth and Sasquatch members of cat/wolf looking creatures. This **** up pales in comparison to that.

What issue?

Latest issue of Red Hulk that comes out next Wednesday.

Oh ok. I thought I had missed an issue.

Even if we accept zero gravity as a technicality, mjolnir should return to Thor's hand when he calls or wills it. Instead of standing there and taking it.
This will be considered crap until Loeb has Red Hulk unzip and a Celestial comes out of his hide. 😛

Celestial....Im expecting something along the lines of Wolverine or Capt. America....LOL

What? Thor fans fear Hulk. Thor is known to job to His Angriness, despite obviously having the better power set. If they're going to fight, I'm not looking forward to it...best case scenario, Thor wins like he should. Anything less (stalemate, loss, etc.) is worse than I think it should be.

Umm......so I know we all called this and knew it was going to be a win for Hulk. But seriously, was ANYONE expecting what Jeph Loeb did with Red Hulk? slaugh haermm

Personally, this was far worse than I thought was possible. I never would have called this BS. If someone told me this, I'd think Fearofblood or Xmeat wrote it. 😐

yeah, this is so stupid. thor got what, like two hits in? then got rocked hard by rulk. stupid loeb.

I'm still in disbelief that the editors of Marvel would allow Loeb to do something like that to Thor. At All. Even the normal Hulk hasn't been allowed to do that.

Ten bucks says that Loeb put a fake story together then when the comic was finished sprung this travesty out and they didn't have time to change it...

Seriously, I don't know why on earth I pick up Hulk #5 and read it....but I did.

I'm just disappointed and just simply cannot believe Marvel allowed this to happen. What I find even more disappointing is how good the book sold. Fans are reading this and approving it?

Good heavens....I'm feeling sick. I'll never complain about Morrison again. I have issues with Morrison writing Batman....but reading Loeb's work on Hulk....ah....forget it. This is depressing.
