Robert Rodi really knows what he's doing with Thor. I've enjoyed his writing style since his Loki miniseries.

The art in Astonishing Thor is reaaallly good.

The Collector has so many doomsday weapons it isn't even funny.

Having a room full of pocket universes is pretty impressive.

I just want to see Thor kick Surfer's ass for like the fourth time (Fingers crossed).

And Odin stalemating Galactus wouldn't hurt.

Those showings would end a lot of debates, or at least piss off a lot of people.

i hope it goes something like this.....

What the shit is up with Marvel for the Loki book

Loki #3 - In Stores: February 16, 2011

Loki #4 - January 26, 2011

😑

Looks like Thor is about to

Spoiler:
go up against the Hood in Avengers #11, using the Time Gem against Hood's Power and Space gems, respectively

He -Parker- just got a new gem didn't he?

Yeah, I think he got Reality, too.

Interesting latest Thor. A little short though.

That Blood Legion was a neat trick though.

Interesting indeed.

It seems short cause they keep using double-page spreads for like 80% of the comic.

If interesting is slang for a piece of shit, then I agree.

This is the worst Thor arc in history most likely. No writer has ever written the Asgardians so continuously out of character. It's just insulting to me as a fan of Thor to read this.

Anyone who liked this arc should be banned from comics. F*ck opinions.

Now Thor's running away from a fight. facepalm

It doesn't even make sense in the context of the series itself as he had no problem taking on the real Ego.

I was excited to see Odin fight after he came back, but that didn't go too well... 😂

Doesn't bode too well for Asgard vs. Galactus. Frankly, I think Surfer would be sufficient unless that spear and cannon were ridiculously powerful.

What's up with the Odin Force anyways? Thor inherited it all and something happened to the majority of it before he was reborn. Yet it's a regenerative power source. A single Odin sleep should be all that's needed. Not to mention the Odin Force still exists inside the Asgardians.

But it doesn't matter. Fraction doesn't know any of that. I'm actually pissed off at how shitty his run has been.

It's not hard to write a good Thor issue.

Animated Thor Movie is finally given a release date:

If your a fan of Thor's character, I wouldn't recommend it though. Thor's some spoiled and pampered prince who doesn't know how to really fight, raises a hand against a girl etc.

Looked horrible. I had hoped it had been scraped.

It's not hard to understand Thor: A noble, honorable warrior born with an infallible will whose willing to sacrifice all for the sake of others.

^Summarized his character in a single sentence. From the previews I've seen, that isn't the Thor that we get.

With Hulk vs., Ultimate Avengers etc. I'd wager someone at Lionsgate has a vendetta against Thor.

I remember young Thor being an ass. Or atleast some cycles, Which was one of the reasons Odin was mad at him right?

Astonishing Thor is pretty cool, imo. Great art, in any case. Animated movie, meh. I'm tired of prequels and youthful versions of characters. They should have just adapted Thor: Son of Asgard page for page; it was a great young Thor story. Or, better yet, give us a Thor in his prime feature. At least Thor is portrayed phenomenally well in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. He's consistently doing the absurd feats in that show and doesn't get straight out jobbed to Hulk, which is cool.

The alleged spoilers for the Thor film also make me pretty confident in the movie this May, too.

Yea, it was fun and refereshing, but Thor running from alter Ego? I can only think of him retreating from a fight once, and he had a very good reason for it. It simply goes against his very nature. Thor would rather die than run. Especially since his facing a being he knows he can defeat. Heck, he has beaten this planet's counter part.

I know Robert is a more down to Earth guy (The fact that he thinks breathing/talking in space is out there says it all), but he seems to get Thor. Just took me off guard is all. I was raging due to Fraction.

Nah. Thor was always noble, honorable and willing to sacrifice all in the name of good. Heck, he was like that in flash backs where he seemed to be like 8.

It was after countless years of constant warring, battling, and killing that Thor's hubris, arrogance etc. grew. It reached the point where he started a war with the giants (In contrast, it was some pretty light shit for Odin to have reacted the way he did) and so Odin banished him in the form of Donald Blake to teach him humility.

The creators of the movie seem to think Thor in his quest for Mjolnir learned nobility, honor etc. Untrue. He was always noble, brave and so on. You just needed to be really special to lift Mjolnir, which is why even the noblest of beings like Ben Grimm, Balder, Superman etc. can't lift the hammer.

It's also the reason why I don't think Steve Rogers and to a lesser extent, Wonder Woman, should be able of lifting Mjolnir. Kudos to Busiek for introducing the "circumstance" thing.

Well, to say nothing that Odin wasn't exactly perfect, either. The dude for all his wisdom and foresight was something of an ass, too. Granted, his manipulation ultimately saved Asgard from meaningless cycles of rebirth and gave Thor the chance to live his own life (which is why I disprove of Odin coming back in Fraction's run, though, I do like that Odin is pissed he's back, at least).

I think writers tend to forget that when it comes down to it, Thor is extremely noble, especially now. Dr. Strange about had a spaz attack when he faced Thor's immortal soul and Mephisto freaked from Thor's purity, too. Guy can be prideful and stuff, but that's just his Asgardian nature.

One of my only beefs with the Thor movie is the fact that there is allegedly no Balder. WTF.

And in other news, beating Galactus' ass with Thor in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 feels pretty cool lol
