Who is it that's taking over once Matt Fraction is done? Because I'd like to see Kieron Gillen return to the title. I dug his take on Thor.

To my knowledge, Fraction is handling Thor well past Fear Itself. I have no clue would be next in line, but Gillen would be a good choice.

I so did.

So I just had an idea about Thor.

We just recently saw that Thor can see the fabric of time and space but he has to focus his Godly Senses to do so.

Could Thor have to focus his Godly Senses to obtain his higher level showings for his godly reflexes?

Man Im really excited for this. 😄 I think siege was the last time i was so excited for a comic was Siege. (which left me almost utterly empty but whatever) I love Oliver Coipel's art and this just seems like a cool new story. I really hope Fraction executes it well and gives us some good fights and plot.

I hope they really get this right and by get right I mean Surfer and Thor in a lengthy battle in which Surfer is too much for him and the combined forces of asgard namely Odin and everyone are needed to drive Galactus away.

I don't know about that.Thor has an upcoming movie after all.Not to mention the Thor video games coming out in 5/31/2011.

This I might agree. It wont be a bad showing for Odin if he needed the combined forces of Asgard to drive away Galactus(If fully fed).If Galactus is in hungry levels and was driven off by Odin w/o assistance from Asgard, it wouldn't be a bad showing but I guess it wont be a good showing either since Thor in the past defeated a hungry Galactus. The point is, we have to wait.

I am worried though they will get it wrong since his movie is in the air.

Galactus was pretty hungry and was fighting someone else but saying Galactus is weakened is such a pass for the character or any character for that matter.

One thing is for certain either way I think most fans want an epic battle between the surfer and thor and to see odin challenge Galactus.

Read the new Journey into Mystery title.

I thought it was fantastic.

It was.

Even though I was unsure about Loki being brought back once again, Gillen's take on him seems really interesting; he seems to realise there's more to the character than just standing in the shadows, plotting.

How long it is before he gets the Baron Zemo treatment and unexplainably becomes evil again remains to be seen.

It was really well done. I like this new young version of Loki.

That 'I said I was a god and they called me a troll' exchange between Loki and Thor was wonderful xD

“But you’re a half giant” - LOL

They both was on the same link as one. Both dumbfounded of the internet language.LOL

Mighty Thor #3 solicits (June 22)

The fate of the world lies in the hands of the Asgardians, for Galactus is coming...and he hungers! Thor and the Silver Surfer must determine what to do with the Galactus Seed, the artifact with the potential to end the entire universe. And what deal is being struck between Odin and Galactus himself, behind closed doors?

Mighty Thor #4 solicits (July 27)

ASGARD RISES AGAINST GALACTUS! The World Eater has come for something buried deep within the heart of Fallen Asgard. As Odin leads an assault wave of gods against Galactus, a wounded Thor must contend with the Silver Surfer once more! All of which leaves Volstagg and Kid Loki in charge of the Shining City for an afternoon. What could possibly go wrong?

Sounds interesting. Odin and Asgard vs. Big G, Thor vs. Surfer.

Let the debates be settled

I really hope the Odin Force question is addressed before the battle. And lol at Odin leading a wave of Gods against Galactus. It's going to be both funny and stupid watching Balder etc. hacking away at Galactus' ankles.

Thanos wasn't struggling with anyone. I highly suggest rereading the comic if you thought so. Thanos was easily wading through them and was taken on with a cc. They had no chance without it and if you disagree then you didn't grasp the writer's intent.

No, I don't think it was. Thanos was toying with the heroes and this is irrelevant to current Thanos. We are discussing current Odin and current Thanos so bringing up the past is irrelevant.

Yes, way downhill compared to what he was previously capable of. No mention iirc of him being weakened while it was mentioned often Thanos was weakened in thanos imperative.

No, his power levels were returning and it showed how easily he tossed around Lord Mar-vell. The entire story it was showing his power levels/durability was improving the entire story.

Thanos>Lord Mar-vell>Odin>Thor.

I told you this was true and now even in thor's own comic it's coming true.

Haha, you're so deluded. For the record, Star Lord only pulled out the Cosmic Cube at the very end.

So you don't think being cut by bone claw Wolverine is a shitty showing? Cool. Then you must not think Odin being stabbed by some World Eater spear from behind to be a bad showing at all.

So what, now you're going to argue Odin isn't weakened? He has to be unless Fraction's Thor is just outright ignoring all previous takes which then would make it meaningless to me.

From the depowered levels that he reached as a result of being blasted by the nearly drained Cosmic Cube.

Odin > Thor > Thanos > Surfer

So, basically, they're going to get to 3-4 issues until we finally see the battles?

Good thing I'm not looking forward to it.

Like I predicted. And five gets you ten it's one that makes Bendis written fights look good.

Christ was his 7 issue arc horrible. I want it just erased from Thor history.
