No influence as far as I can tell. It's a more self contained story line. Journey Into Mystery deals with the Fear Itself shit. Tthe events most central character doesn't have his book dealing with the actual event.

That's not relevant to current Thanos and Odin was beaten by his stabbing Thanos wasns't. There's a world of difference in being stabbed and winning and being stabbed and being beaten.
Any writer can do anything he pleases everything doesn't have to add up. He can place odin's powerset above classic writers or place it higher. It doesn't look good though seeing what's happened already.
