There is definitely a battle. I don't know if I'd call it 'epic' though.

Hyped beyond BS!
disappointing as hell, One is standing the other laid the f**k out. I means really fraction that's all we get, you are wasting Oliver Copiel time.

Fractions dialogue is the worst ive ever read. :/ Its actually so bad that ive almost stopped enjoying the fight....Its just to ridiculous to deal with imo.

Odin blitz Galactus at the same time grew is size and headbutted Galactus shattering both of their helmets. They fall to Earth, Galactus gets up with a new helmet, Odin is laying down like he got cold cock by Mike Tyson.

Odin and Thor have done more headbutts in this arc than WWE match, it's ridicules πŸ™ .

Rage?

Rage?

Not really. just piss. I'm mean look, I was laid of work back in May, so I am holding on to my money the best I can, when I spend $20-30 on comics I expect a good story not a half a$$ story which fraction has been doing on Thor slow as hell. All this hype Odin and Galactus will throw down in issue 5 and it didn't happen, I've seen more action in Fear than in Thor own book, disappointing.

Rage?

Lol, my bad, I forgot.

The only action not seen in the previews I posted in the Odin vs. Galactus thread in the vs. forum. Other than that,

Spoiler:
Galactus gets up and heals himself. He then summons his planet consuming technology. During the battle, Loki plucked the World Seed out of the Destroyer and dived into the World Tree. At the very end, the Destroyer Armor awakes.

I'll post the entire issue tomorrow.

I was calling rage here, but also rage πŸ˜‚

If I interpreted correctly the first pages of the next issue,

Spoiler:
Galactus will back down from the fight with the Destroyer.

From issue 1-5 there has been nothing but headbutts,I mean really. 4 more powerful beings are reduced to headbutts, this is garbage. Red Hulk battle with worthy thing had more action this whole damn story arch, f**king sad πŸ™ !

Lol compare this to the fight between Bor and Thor in the thor special.

You know, Thor vs Bor was the bomb that's how fight is done Fraction.

I'm still confused as to why Surfer told Galactus to back down after Odin had dropped?

Noone else could possibly pose a threat to him once Odin was gone...

Well he did say that an army of Gods were merging and that it would be too much even for him

...Like Kfish, I take that statement with a grain of salt. We saw Odin essentially use every bit of power he could muster in a final 'attack' against Galactus (an 'attack' that overextended Odin and forced him to enter the Odinsleep.) We then saw Galactus get up and instantly regenerate all of the physical damage he sustained like nothing had even happened. Having said that, considering 99% of the Asgardians are decisively sub-Thor-level, it's hard to imagine their efforts having more of an effect on G than Odin himself (which, in itself, didn't amount to much at all)... But w/e.

Or maybe Galactus is actually tired. He followed up Surfer's statement by pointing out he'd get what he wants "no matter the cost" so Norrin is not off base or anything.

Galactus repaired the visible damage but we have no idea what state he's in, and based on what information we do have, he's not in a condition to face down the remaining warriors of Asgard. Something that should be within his capabilities unless he's starving or what not. Or maybe Fraction thinks it's simply beyond him but that's something I highly doubt personally.

The final issue and how Galactus fares against the Odin Destroyer is what we'll decide it.
