wow faction is kinda shitting of galactus; i guess it's marvel's policy

Btw, I dunno if anyone noticed/agrees, but am I right in thinking the purple spiky demon lord who questions Mephisto in the latest JiM when they're standing around the throne, is the "devil" we saw in the first arc of Aaron's Wolverine?

Seeing as Mephisto mentions him as one of those who claims to be the real devil all the time and he looks almost the same...

Read the issue in its entirety. It's...well. Not good. And not just for the non-fight between Odin/Galactus. More bipolar Asgardian goodness awaits. It basically feels like Fraction is just setting things up for his Defenders comics.

Silver Surver is no longer silver nor a surfer? WTF Fraction. WTF is Marvel doing hiring that bastard if all he's going to do is destroy one of the best characters Marvel's ever created. And they replace him with a whiny priest-*****. God F'ing Damnnit.

I thought it was a decent issue, I liked all the parts with Silver Surfer and the pastor. I suppose I could knock it for being a Thor solo title that has a better grasp and more interesting take on Surfer then the main character... but Surfer is just innately a much more complex and nuanced character then Thor so that was pretty much unavoidable.

will be able to "transform" into his silver skin complete with powers. Galactus did say his power is now tied to Earth, and Surfer needs to be free from Heralding in order to pal around with Strange and co.

Galactus essentially just said "If you like earth so much why dont you go marry it"

In stead of having hypothetical space adventures with Galactus that we never get to see in the pages of comics, Silver Surfer gets changed so he is exactly the same except he can take human form and is bond to earth so he actually get some panel time? GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY durredhulk

You'd think Fraction might have like, read any recent Surfer stuff which explains his motivation for becoming herald... I mean, Pak's series showed us the mindset he has whilst he is herald...
And as such wouldn't just drop it for the reason Fraction presented...

imo, they should have given Pak a Surfer ongoing to write, as his mini was really good, it could have featured Galactus space adventures 😄

Pak's Surfer was abysmal. The only good thing about Fractions Thor was his handle on Surfer.

Journey into Mystery has been nothing short of excellent. The latest issue just solidifies that.

I agree with that statement 👆 100%, It's sad when JIM is better than one on Marvel flagship books, that alone should be embarrassing. Gillen should right both JIM and Thor, and the way he is writing Loki is a masterpiece in my book, at least Gillen knows what the hell he is doing, unlike Fraction!

Did I call it or what? I was actually really excited to read about this when I heard this was coming out.But between Asgardian Bi-polar attitude, the lack of a galactus/destroyer fight and all the rest of the &*%$ that went on in this series.......I do believe that my faith in comics is finally shot.

To be fair Fraction had Odin headbutt Galactus the fact that I can actually say that and it is true makes this crap worth it.
