I'm pretty sure the "you tire me" statement by Galactus wasn't literal. Seemed more like he's implying that they're becoming annoyances.

Sure, you can interpret it that way if you want but it doesn't make much sense to me. If Odin was just an annoyance, then why was he just knocked out after a competitive fight? Why did Surfer point out that taking on Asgard was beyond him? He's statement that he'd get what he wanted no matter the cost also doesn't hurt as it implies that he's getting or will get tried in a noticeable way.

My opinion? Fraction just isn't good with dialogue currently unless he's writing Iron Man.

I really hope Fraction makes shit clear next issue. I doubt it but whatever.

Deffo the case, Galactus just got bored of the petty squable with a inferior.

...Like Kfish, I take that statement with a grain of salt. We saw Odin essentially use every bit of power he could muster in a final 'attack' against Galactus (an 'attack' that overextended Odin and forced him to enter the Odinsleep.) We then saw Galactus get up and instantly regenerate all of the physical damage he sustained like nothing had even happened. Having said that, considering 99% of the Asgardians are decisively sub-Thor-level, it's hard to imagine their efforts having more of an effect on G than Odin himself (which, in itself, didn't amount to much at all)... But w/e.

I do agree with Rage somewhat in that if you take Surfer's statement with a grain of salt I do to, then you should also take Galactus' statment with a grain of salt. He was clearly exerting himself against Odin, and couldn't put him down easily otherwise I say he would ahve or done something to make Odin a non factor.

Plus even those the Asgardians are sub-thor Asgard and all its amgic as a whole shouldn't be and the gods should be able to to use its magic and bring the fight to Galactus.

But of course I said the same thing during Siege 🙁

As for the fight itself. I think it was a good interuptation of it. I think Odin can put up a decent fight but Galactus should always ahve more i nthe tank so to speak.

Im wondering if he forgot to mention what was up with Thor's wound. I assume its all going to come clear in the last issue but....

The fact that JiM this week was more entertaining than any of Fraction's Thor issues and yet didn't even involve Loki or really, much happening at all, really shows how freaking good Gillen is...

This plus the fact we see the destroyer animating before even Galactus gets up to heal himself is more of a hint Odin choice to go into the armour any way If Odin at the end of the series goes from the destroyer to his body it wwill b eclear if it was the odin sleep or not.

Don't get your logic. If Odin was animating the Destroyer then why did he let Loki retrieve the Galactus Seed without even lifting a finger and return the Seed from whence it came?

Logical answer is that Odin wasn't animating it at the time. The Destoryer was reacting to the Seed being retrieved.

The seed was already out of destoryer. Loki was standing infront of it then destroyer started to animate the face sheild was glowing. Then we go to the next panels with Odin and Galactus crashing on earth. Did you even read this comic?????

Did you even read Odin still talking to Thor while the Destroyer had already animated or were you too excited to take that in?

Do you have a common sense. All we see is the destroyer masked glowing and then we see odin falling a sleep in the next panel. It doesn't take very much brain power to guess from does 2 scenes and the preview who is in it. Plus that fact other then Thor there is only one other person who can summon Mjolnir

You are ridiculous. None of summoning Mjolnir happened in issue 5. Also show me scans where someone animates the destroyer while that said person is still conscious and interacting with another character because CLEARLY you don't have the actual issue in front of you to save you the embarrassment of the falsity you just stated. in fact your recollection is so false, i'm not going to put the scans up just so you can figure out what you've done.

LMAO now you are just making stuff up I said the 2 scenes the glowing of the destoryer mask and Odin going into the odinsleep. Then "spoiler" the preview shows it is Odin in the armor weilding Mjolnir. You would know what was in the preview and what was in issue 5 if you acutally read the danm thing. 🙄

Im almost to the point where I dont even think they are going to fight. Im thinking that Fraction is going to make him run away from this one saying some BS about not wanting to waste his time and rob us of a Odin Destroyer vs Galactus fight...but whatever. Gotta wait I guess.

In the next panel Galactus should pick the Destroyer Armor, bit its head off, and say "what will I eat next?" 😱

Even though this arc really sucks (story wise), I do want to see the confrontation nevertheless...

Well it would be better then a headbutt

On a side not 😖poiler: Then anyone else notice that the armor Odin gave Thor to fight the serpant looks like a replica of the armor Odin wore in the Thor movie...
