Thor Discussion

Honestly....I might dislike Fraction more than I did Loeb. At least with Loeb we knew not to take him entirely seriously, but with Fraction? He totally ignores continuity and besically redesigns Thor's personality to fit his needs? Then he F*cks up Mighty Thor #6 (the entire series also) to clearly try to set the stage for his defenders comic? Selfish Prick.

Fear Itself dialogue was surprisingly good compared to the utter piece of %^&* that was considered "dialogue" in the mighty Thor. How many times did Thor and Odin say "bastard"? Or had weird bi polar tantrums?

I need to rant more but im choosing not to...

You should see his original dialogue on the part were Thor called Hulk "a pain in the ass".The original dialogue he planned for Thor to say was "Thou art pain in the ass!" instead of saying "You were always a pain in the ass" dialogue. But he scratch his original Shakespearean English since it wouldn't go well with Thor πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

What do I say to that? πŸ˜‚ Cuz Thor's always been know to speak profanity 87 times per comic? And Shakespearean dialogue has never really worked well with Thor? I need to lay down.

Looks like he's getting taught by Bendis.

Is it me or did Mighty Thor #7 just contradict Thor #600 and more, I thought Loki trapped Bor in Asgard, am I wrong!?

yup! the people at marvel are in a roll! a crappy shitty roll!

I was impressed by the ease in which Odin dominated everyone/thing thrown at him on Aesheim... And the fact that he just walked up and handled "The Serpent". Props.

With JiM #629 what was it that Loki changed in that book?

Gotta say, I really like the return of Freya, Gaea, and Idunn as a triumvirate ruling Asgard.

There will probably be some serious continuity issues down the line if there aren't any right now but whatever, I'll see how it turns out. I'm only DL Thor at this point so I'll read just to keep if nothing else.

I'm pretty sure triumvirate means "three men" but whathever πŸ˜›

Aside from Gaea, the other two (Idunn and Freya) are just your average Asgardian... soo.. i dont get it

This reeks of a million exploding suns...

So Thor will end up killing a second retcon pushed character.

It'd be amusing if it was revealed that Tanarus is actually the Sentry.

I still don't get it... Tanaru appears, the 3 ruling female of Asgard should know who he is right or were they also brain wash by the retcon?

Where is Odin himself?

ok first off how is hulk some sort of invincible threat that no lone hero could take? What the hell happened to Loki? BRB is the oath brother of Tanarus? Yet he still looks like Thor's classic look...How does Captain America have his shield unbroken in that scan if they were fighting the serpent? Someone ask Fraction if he developed his writing style with the help of Bendis.

Just my guess but the world tree planned for Thor to die to acheive some sort of other mission or goal. We all saw the wound from the tree glow when Thor was burning if i remember right. Not sureif Asgardian Leaders know or not but it appears this is all the world trees doing. An making a new reality of some sort. Lets just hope for the best that Thor headbutts his way back to his rightful place in comics while cursing like Samuel Jackson.

Crying at his brothers lifeless body in the Dimension that contain Asgard, if I understood the last pages from Fear Itself correct.

Man, I'd lol for hours if Fraction brought back Sentry.

...actually, no. Phuck that character; he can stay dead forever.

Anyhow, my own impression is that Odin/The World Tree basically created Tanarus as a means to once again get around prophecy ie. Thor being dead. It wouldn't be the first time Odin basically had some wild contingency plan. And according to solicits, the Demogorge is about to appear again in the pages of Mighty Thor.

Thor will probably return in time to beat up his usurper, restore reality and everyone's memories of him, and show up to help Earth repel the Phoenix Force or Celestials or whatever grave threat is going to be the focus of 2012.

Reminds me of Thor:God Size#1, were Thor,Balder and Loki have different memories of who Skurge really was. They set-off into an adventure only to find out Amora the enchantress was tampering with Yggdrasill.Hence reality being warped.I wonder who tampered with the world tree this time?Is it Odin?Or is it Amora?I'm also curios to see this fallen Gods Thor is with in Thor#10. 😎
