nope thanos was chosen but his will wasnt forced, it was a tremendous feat for thanos to sustain himself when he was in the heart. most beings couldnt have survived it....ds would have died. if the end thanos still had a choice and wasnt given anything. he was given the choice and was the villain and the hero. 💃 try and beat that darkseid. 😆

Thanos didn't have a power up against Tyrant, he had what was effectively a weapon, but it didn't increase his own personal power or durability, there was no evidence he had absorbed the power of the orb into himself.
