Final Crisis: Secret Origins didn't develop the way I expected it to, but it was interesting. Libra, by practically merging with the Universe and his mind being flooded with images, concepts, ideas, with knowledge goes to the New Gods' world unaided by a Boomtube. I really liked that.
The Anti-Life Equation is once again confirmed to be capable of disproving the very concept of free will and enslaving all who are exposed to it. And interesting how this it is said that what we see are only facets of the complete Anti-Life Equation.
Also, he practically retconns the Anti-Life Entity as not being the Yang to the Source's Ying, since the Source can't be divided or split due to being an ultimate concept that cannot be divided, halved or contained.

Also, it seems that Mandrakk is the main DCU Lucifer of some sort, and the other Monitors the 'angels'."It generated a race of 'angels' or 'monitors' to study and oversee the Multiverse"
"Greatest of all monitors was Dax Novu, the "Radiant One", the Explorer and Scientist.."
So how does this work out now for the DC's cosmos? Is the Monitor also the Presence or Source? And if Mandrakk is the evil Monitor, where does the Anti-Monitor fit in all this? I'm confused.
By the way, I'm disappointed with Secret Files. There was barely an explanation of Darkside's death, just rehashed material. Mainly the story was about Libra, average but not what the solicit for this book made it out to be: an telling of the war in heaven and Darkseid's fall.
