WTF is DD thinking?
No seriously WTF he thinks he's doing?

I was OK with some (if not most of his decisions-heck I wasn't even so pissed when he offed Orin for the soulless weak emo zombie) of his choices but messing with GM's work while 4 issues are already out?

Why hasn't DC changed their Executive Editor already?
What more proof do they need?
Last month another certain company had over 50% market share (as much as DD tries to cover this up defending himself with petty excuses) and now this $hit ?

I'm equally annoyed with the whole Robinson thing, but seriously DC get DD out before he turns Final Crisis to another Amazon Attack or One More Day.
The series in all honestly is one of the best events I've read (already with 3 issues remaining) and DD wants to change it to suit his plans?
Heck if he wants so much to dictate the stories why don't he sits his @s down and pick a pencil?

I hope these rumors turn out to be incorrect before it's to late for the whole storyline.

I wonder if Didio's meddling will indeed make Grant Morrison quit DC, as the article speculates.
If Marvel is paying attention, they'll offer GM the opportunity to follow & completely change anything Jeph Loeb has done the past two years. 😛

Don't worry.

The stories being changed to Superman kicking the shit out of Darkseid as we speak.

Did they seriously job Adam out to a simple car being thrown at him/explosion?

Meh, I guess the story isn't meant to deal with powersets, but still...

Mary is clearly much stronger now.

Was the exploding car emitting Thanos level energies?

Teth was totally gassed afterwards (no pun).

Now i might start to have faith in Dan, finally someone at DC had the smarts to rewrite something that might salvage this crisis.....but i think it will be too late.....the damge has been done.

I'm such an absolute geek. 🙁

Spoiler:
I'm right in assuming the wheelchair bound figure, the one who doesn't talk, playing with the Rubik's cube- "17 (ping!)" is Metron, in his human guise from Seven Soldiers, right, continuing his war across time and space? If so, who is the guy holding the Monitor's drawings, and talking to him- he has furry hands. Anthro or Kamandi? MAN I loved that scene, even though I wasn't entirely sure what was going on with the Monitor, and his kind "creating" both Darkseid and the superheroes...

And the rest of the Marvel family was pretty weakened.

Anyone else amped up for a fight between Kalibak and TALKING FREAKING TAWNY?

Heh...I assumed Kalibak was just going to knock Tawny's head off.

Yeah safe assumption with the wheelchair suspect, though I had no idea who the cloaked hairy finger guy was. The hairy fingers made me believe it was Aurakles...simply because he appeared in Seven Soldiers and Morrison likes to draw from his own work often. But I loved the scene too. I've never been more pumped to see someone complete a Rubik's Cube. Also loved everything involving Darkseid, I only wish the series focused on him more. I thought he was going to shout "I AM THE MATRIX".

There still no reason or logic for a crisis to happen so soon. Final Crisis has become....pointless.

Don't discourage yet! If it wasn't for Geoff Johns doing Legion and Rogues' Revenge the whole thing would have collapse by now. There is still hope.

Speaking of, it sure would be nice if Geoff could get his Legion Flash Rebirth/Darkest Night promo book out on time.

??? Mind explaining the reference?

My response to FC 5: "ALL IS ONE IN DARKSEID!" evillaugh

I hope to god Didio doesn't ruin this........ 🙁

I think Metron said something similar once.

I'd ask you if you enjoy the event but ..

Here:

Credit to Sym for the scan.

Thanks guys. 👆 As I think they hammered down in issue 1, Metron is probably the literal Deus Ex Machina for this crisis.

And am I the only one psyched up about this? Why is everyone meh? This might be the one time evil actually does win. Maybe Morrison isn't going to fix this, maybe he wasn't kidding with the subtitle for this crisis........😖hifty:

Except both books have hardly come out, and one has next to nothing to do with the storyline.

The problem with this Crisis, is the title (which is purely a money grabbing publicity stunt ). Morison has wanted to write this New Gods story since the Rock of Ages arc. Its basically what happened when Aquaman, Kyle and Wally disappeared with Metron from D.C. earth. If the book was called; New Gods rebirth, or the Crime Bible, New Testament or something of that ilk everyone would be loving it. I agree its not really a Crisis, as it has next to no relation to Wolvmans original storyline. Even the Multiverse is playing a far less pivotal role. But the book itself is wicked. If we hadn't had to put up with fecal mess of countdown and the death of the New Gods, everybody would be heralding this as the Greatest New God story since the Original WW3. I wish people would try and read less into the anti-hype and read it as a stand alone story. Forget about all the moronic sheep who have only picked up the book because its contains the word crisis. Forget the fact that storyline isn't novice friendly, most New God
arcs aren't. Forget Countdown, forget the Death of the New Gods. Stop believing the bad press and think for yourselves for once !

Edit.

Tricksterpriest, I'm sorry you're not seeing in what Cartesian Doubt is saying that I am....

It starts with your inability to spell Marv Wolfman's name and it just progresses from there...

It's not an issue of grammar mistakes, because it shows that you're not really thinking about the first two crises...

Take a look at the actions of the Monitors throughout all five released issues- each issue shows the Monitors, and with these Monitor's, Morrison is not just launching into the story he wanted to tell about the Worligog back when he was the writer of JLA, but instead, he is writing a truly current DCU story- he is using the ridiculous edits of Johns during IC (like the absurd OMACS he introduced.... if you actually like Kirby, like WD always claims to, then I don't understand how you like Johns.... his OMACS are a clear insult) and other edits that other writers have been introducing, and FROM that standpoint Morrison is introducing something entirely new (something..... unforseen?) about the nature of the DC universe.... while he did hint about it during "JLA Rock of Ages (where Metron gives the 'gog to Superman Prime)," and states "sometimes Darkseid wins, sometimes we win" it is something utterly new and different. It's been bothering me that a lot of people have been saying that Morrison is just showing what happened during "Rock of Ages" but that's just utterly untrue- if it was, then he wouldn't be taking such pains to show the differences between his storyline and that particular one- Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel, Tawny, the interactions of the Guardian, Montoya's (Question's) interaction with Amanda Waller and the rest (in a clear Kirby reference, Checkmate is referred to as a "Global Peace Agency)," the influence of Superman's/Batman's/Wonder Woman's POST IC actions....

While it is clearly similar to Morrison's work with "Rock of Ages" it is so clearly, tremendously different that it's obvious that you're just not getting it if you think it's the same storyline.

CD, it's not that I'm really disagreeing about how people should be reading the story with you- I agree people should read for themselves. It's the way you present your argument where they ought to be reading the story from your perspective that I take issue with you.

And anyways, I know you dislike me because I insulted Descartes, so go ahead and attack my argument....

Ummm, i seriously have no idea who you are. I don't really post on here very often, but i think you've taken my post WAY to literally.

When is say "Its basically what happened when Aquaman, Kyle and Wally disappeared with Metron from D.C. earth"

I don't mean its the exact same storyline. I mean Morison has probably pondered over the years, what would have happened if Darksied had ever attained the power of the ALE; How he would have gone about taking over the universe, how Earths heroes would have fought back etc.
