Apparently there's still more. Maybe he ends up defeating Prime at the end.
I thought Legion of Three supposed to be three issues; when did it turn into five?

Oh yeah. Guess there were originally going to be five.

I wish I could say that I was, but I wasn't. It seems like GL's as a whole, are written to be the very definition of absolute pieces of crap.I mean, they went from having the capability of owning almost anyone/anything years back - to being treated like nothing but fodder in recent years. There's no longer a real power gap between 'rookie' GL's, and 'senior' GL's - their powers seem fairly even across the board.

Right, but they were basing their opinion on recent portrayals of GLs. That wouldn't have even been a high-end showing for Hal/Kyle/Alan/etc. during the glory days.

I'm not arguing against the general opinion though. I've written my fair share of words on this forum regarding Geoff Johns neutering of the Green Lanterns. Needless to say I haven't been happy with the current era.

Did anyone hear the rumor that an Earth Lantern is going to die during the Blackest Night?Kyle Rayner is so f*cked.
At this point though, I wouldn't even be opposed to it.

Rond's shield stood up to repeated blows from Validus, Mordru, Superboy Prime, Emerald Empress, and Universo among others and only broke because the Persuader's axe is a total plot device. That would easily be considered a high showing for Hal or Kyle in any era and is a far cry from Superman one shotting John Stewart's shield.I'm not arguing against the general opinion though. My guess is that it was just Johns' trying to be honorable to a character who was about to die, and that he wasn't really considering how GLs should be portrayed according to standards that are decades old.
I'm going to bet that Sodam Yat gets a truly impressive showing or two in the next two issues of "Legion of Three Worlds."

Fair enough. Though I also saw Validus getting held in check last issue by some chick's hair (ala Medusa). I'm fairly sure Johns is simply writing to fit the storyline, power levels be damned. To an extent, I can empathize with a writer's need to do that, but if he has to nerf so many supposed team-wreckers, he could have easily just brought 1-2 less of them along for the story.
