Don't remember that.

another newbie here to point something out 🙂
Did anyone else catch a glimpse of Barricade's door on the carrier that was used to dump the vanquished Decepticons into the sea?
Can't say for certain whether he's still alive or dead eventhough we didn't see him die...
OR it may be a production error... lol

i think you're mistaken

anywhere i went(on the internet) to find out what happened to him they said Barricade disappeared after the chase on the brige

I think I'de remember Barricade's door lying on the ship's floor, but I don't remember, so therefore I can't be too negative.

Youve gotta remember, when talking about the "matrix of leadership",
that the original comic form of it was the "creation matrix" that had nothing to do with leadership, but could create constructed bodies with TF
life, it also enabled Buster Witwicky to have total telekinetic control over mechanical things while he had absorbed it. (It was pure energy in the comic, without case or cube.) The two sides'd fight for it as there was only one, and thats why the deceps didnt have one.

Yeah, pretty much.

Barricade was destroyed in the Novel, however Bay stated that his disappearance was integral in setting up the second film.

I assume he would become the new information gatherer on earth , while Starscream rallies the troops on their (Interstellar) base.

i don't think he's dead yet

Just another bit of dodgy filmmaking really.

What other film maker would you accept a movie from that doesn't even to bother to explain what happens to focused-on characters throughout..?

While youre asking yourself what happened to Barricade AND Skorponok, might as well ask what happened to (or for that matter what 'was the point of'😉 Rachel Taylor and her hacker mate..?
They just disappear only accentuating their uselessness throughout the movie. Rachel Taylor's character was pure eye candy.
The dude was purely a comedy vehicle.
And their sudden disappearance was what just hammers home how unessential they (along with Barricade and Skorponok) ultimately were.

Lazy, lazy, LAZY assed plotage/development, IMO.

Too much thought...

i wonder what a new director will mean for the movie

Hopefully not crap.

well obviously

Ridley Scott anyone?

who's he?

he's the guy that directed gladiator and blade runner. and alien too i think

Gladiator huh??

i suppose he could do a good job with Transformers

I think so.

well i would like it if they brought another teen character into the movie
and get rid of Gibson who cannot act...at all
Duhamel did a pretty good job, Megan Fox did excellant, and Shia LaBeouf did an outstanding job, i have no idea how hard that must have been to act off of nothing.

Something Michael Bay, along with being able to do depth, will never be accused of.

Scott'd be a good choice in the 'visual director' camp.
He can get convincing performances out of humans.
AND he knows a weak script when he sees one.

Both Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox said in interviews that they would not come back and do another one if Michael Bay doesnt direct it.
