Americans have no specific accent, like how a redneck from Montana will sound quite different than a New Yorker.

exactly.

Any of them would be funny though, though the southern ones would probably be funnier.

Not everyone down South is a redneck either.🙂

I can't remember saying that they were. Still got a sickening accent.

the english accent differs as well.

I live 15 mile from central london. to some one who lives in london I sound like a toff when I speak but to people further south I sound like a londoner really weird.
although alot of people think I'm from australia because of the way I pronounce my words.

I'm from the south west, so by definition I should have a right country bumpkin accent. But, apparently it's more of a stereotypical 'posh' accent.

And someone from New York state but doesn't live in NYC will sound completely different from someone who does live in NYC.

Though considering the size of the country, the variety in accents isn't nearly as much as one would think...

The variety in accents in the UK is ridiculous, gotta say though even though I'm 10 miles away from it, the guttural gravel gobbed scouse (Liverpool/Liverpudlian) accent is the worst (not counting the Wirral here as posh scouse isn't so bad to the ears)
