I, personally, have since birth and probably always will be afraid of heights, but yeah...
And as regards to the thread itself, no I haven't been messed with by any Brits, at least not recently. Ironically enough I get mistreated by my own fellow black people more often, because I "talk white". /shrug.
All the Brit's I meet in real life are nice people, it's only when I play games online that they're assholes who boot me all the time 🙁
It's not that expensive. If people were to cut down on SUVs, pornography, video games and fast food; I'm sure it would be very affordable.
As for the hype of the terrorism situation, it gets hyped up here too; the current terrorist threat level is at critical in Britain. But, Britons are still travelling as much as ever.
To address the prior points about Britain being so close to other countries. I personally have yes been to most of Europe, however I've also been to Africa, Egypt, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Brunei, Borneo, USA, all over Turkey, India and a few more places.
The USA also isn't that far away from many culturally fascinating places, such as south America and Mexico.

My mortgage payment, utility bills, phone/Internet bills, & gasoline expenses keep me from travelling alot, not McDonald's dollar menu and Grand Theft Auto. Last time I checked I don't subscribe to Penthouse, either, but I do get a bill for a car payment for my Focus every month in its place.
I pay for most of my trips using money from part time jobs, as I'm also a student. It's perfectly affordable to travel. I drive a used car, petrol is also more expensive here than in the states. Also, I wasn't talking to you on a personal level, I was talking about America as a nation, from a statistical point of view.

Yes, I can see that. Me personally, I simply cannot afford a trip more than 3 states away. For family reasons, I have to make 4 trips to Georgia every year, 4 trips to Virginia, and 2 trips to South Carolina, and 1 trip to Pennsylvania. Maybe in the future.

Well that's fair enough then, I imagine that is pretty costly.
Cute quiz.

I deserve any and all jeering referring to this post.

Where did that nonsense come from? You can never leave your country and still be educated about other cultures.Lets be fair, it's not like tourists get a good grasp of what a country is like usually.
Seeing it in a text book, and being there are two different things.
I bet you any money, that if you have never been in Cairo, you cannot possibly imagine what it is like (minus any historical sights).
If I asked you what the ''city'' was like, or what the people were like, you wouldn't be able to give me a comprehansable answer, or anything similar or even close.
What you can do, is copy and paste from some lame website about what someone else wrote. That however, makes YOU no wiser on Egypt or Cairo or people who live there.
I for example happen to think that Vienna is extremly clean city (far more so than I have withnessed anywhere else) especially compared to lets say London or Paris.
Its an impression Vienna made on me, independent of what anyone else says.
Your opinions on other countries, thus depend on what other people say and write, if you haven't been there yourself.

I thought I'd score higher than that...

Most of the traveling I've done was to México and Central America; I've been to México, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, Panamá y Colombia tons of times. When I was in the Army I also got to see some pretty farflung places.
