another disappointment. I was really looking forward to this movie. The CGI and cinematography are incredible and make it worth seeing, but not for full price. The characters are as two dimensional as possible. The script and acting failed to inspire any empathy or interest in the characters. For such an epic concept this movie had absolutely no grandeur or wonder. It felt bland and fake.

The quality of the original has nothing to do with the quality of this remake.

Just as a movie, the new one here isn't good. Entirely predictable, cliche to a ridiculous degree. CGI was fine but most don't want to see a movie just for special effects (I hope). The campiness was kinda nice, though.

The script was bad, the movie felt rushed.....its not good.....just ok.

to me it felt like the same movie sure there were a couple changes but it moved along quicker compared to the old one

I'm guessing the other people who went to see it and did'nt like was expecting the next big Gladiator type movie with monsters thrown in.

No, I was expecting pretty much what I saw, except I was hoping they at least considered letting the script, story and characters carry part of the film. It failed on all three counts. Shit script, story and character development. It was poorly executed action scene after poorly executed action scene, with plots holes galore. Basically a film to appeal to 12 year olds.

There's literally nothing good about this film. Kraken looked awesome, for the [short] time we get to see it.

Advice: If you hated GI Joe, stay away from this one.
