I'm not gonna say that the design in that link ISN'T the monster, but I heard that design was debunked a while ago.
Heres a quote regarding that design.
Well... ok, let's check on these. The alleged CLOVERFIELD monster comes from MovieWeb - That is not an early design - nor is it - the final design. It is, according to my sources (and my sources do kick ass) - "BUNK"SO I looked up "BUNK" and found that it is a built in platform bed... or a trough for feeding cattle... or sleeping quarters... or...... HUMBUG, NONSENSE! So... I guess you can sleep on that image, feed it to your cattle... or just know that it's total bullshit.
Given that this movie has been shrouded in mystery since the first trailer, pretty much makes any report on it 50/50.
That design is pretty cool though.
INFO (Part 1)
Truth be told, the small Cloverfield monsters don’t ever appear in the new trailer. One of the production photos published in Blackbook Magazine shows you what is really going on. Check out the photo, after the jump.

INFO (Part 1)
Hmmm... A bio-hazard team. Considering that we already know that there are people in the movie that was consuming an unknown substance found on the ocean floor, a bio-hazard intervention is certainly plausible.
In addition (as one person put it) when viewed in slow motion it appears that the woman they were holding explodes. Check this link to see for yourself (watch her midsection expand):

To add to that, Gano's dream did have him growing from a small fish into a hugh whale after consuming the strange substance. And that could also help explain the size of this creature (if it consumed the substance as well).

It's for the better. If it's not Gamora I'm going to flame everyone who said it was, right here in this thread.

Gamora is owned by Daiei. If Gamera were the monster, we'd see Dalei credited somewhere. Much like in Godzilla Unleashed, Toho required every monster shown in the copyrights, therefore eliminating the element of surprise when revealing the monsters for the game. It isn't Gamera. Period.
