Regarding the monster;

Abrams said it is an ORIGINAL monster. It won't be anything Godzilla related, it isn't Godzilla and it isn't a monster we've seen in a monster movie before.

I've been freaking out over this movie since Transformers too. It looks so amazingly cool, and its filmed all from the groups video camera. Such unique cinematography.

doubt that's real monster theburningSKULL, look at the size comparison to the statue of liberty, the monster is too big. when it knocked off it's head, if it was that big, it would level the whole statue. and ive heard that was a fake anyway.

Well the woman does explode in the trailer, you can clearly see it happen before it cuts away. Abrams has said the monster has parasites living on it.

Ya, it came from google, and it does seem way to big to be roaming around on a new york street. Seems like that monster would be stuck between the buildings, rather in the trailer it was just walking.

There was a screening at some Michigan college. A few of the people who saw the movie were on imdb.com posting some spoilers on the Cloverfield thread.
