OK, I know I am joining the party late, but I saw this movie for the first time last night......Besides the secnes where they very briefly showed the monster, it sucked pretty bad.

No, I went in it for the first person camera view, like in the Blair Witch. Dunno why, but that really appeals to me.

Unfortunately, the camera work was sub par, IMO. I knew there was a monster involved, but that's not why I saw it.

Saw this about a week ago or so.... it was pretty damn bad. Like honestly what was the point of making a monster movie when you see the thing for a maybe 2 minutes throughout the entire 90 minute film?

It wasn't about the monster. Try knowing a bit about what you're going to see next time, maybe you wouldn't expect Godzilla.

Yes, its obvious it was intended, like how the Mexicans found Josh Brolin at the end of no Country for old men.

I thought that considering it chronicles the events of a monster destroying N.Y.C., it was pretty realistic.

Obviously it had to be embellished for the movie, but still.

Yeah? from from another persons camera? cause during Cloverfield you got a shot of someone else with a camera.At the end my mate said there should be another version but from that other cameras point of view.
