Actually the fact, that it was stated that Superman's strength combined with the power of the Green Lantern is what did the feat, than I think it's pretty clear that it wasn't only Superman.
LOL. You're talking about the impossible when we are debating comic characters, who are gods and whether or not they can move planets? Get the hell out of here with that shit. I can easily say the fact that Superman/Green Lantern and Starbreaker putting so much force on the planet didn't kill everybody on it, makes it null and void.Didn't you read it? The force of them arm wrestling was generating such force, that it could move the planet out of orbit. The simply force being generated. That's the apparent level of the strength they were using was at. Exactly what problem is there with that?
Not Cannon? It was a side story in the back of a Thor comic. Thor had side stories at the back of his book all the time at a certain point and they were all obviously vital and cannon. What makes you think it wasn't cannon besides your own baseless opinion?
The reason the feat is void is because Thor and Herc had nothing to push against to move the planet. Thus rendering the whole feat void.
Superman's feat is not void because the planet was protected while it was being moved by Superman. Starbreaker was moving the planet as a whole so that it remains in one piece. And GL had the planet braced on both sides. If there exists an explanation of why something can happen then it saves the feat. There is no explanation that could be given for the Thor and Herc feat.
Also many if not all side stories in the back of comics are never canon. If so, then prove one instance where back of a comic is essential to the canon of the saga (it is needed and connects the story).
I don't agree due to the impossibility of the feat and the fun factor of the story. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously. The writer exaggerated for the sole purpose of being light (fun). It is clear that neither Thor nor Herc is capable of moving a planet based off their entire history.Except the writer stated they were generating enough force to knock the planet out of orbit and they should count themselves lucky. Are you ignoring what is stated on panel now? What am I saying? Of course you are. It wouldn't be the first time.
