How to make the Games vs Forums a better place

A new mod would make this place better.

That's a very subjective thought. Neither one of the two moderators here has done anything in order for your suggestion to have "improving" results. The moderators are fine.

I don't think we need a third mod. And I'd like to think that GK and I do well enough - I have been modding this forum for going on four years now.

is it possible to have an automated system that detects words in a post, e.g. profanity but instead of just crossing them through/turning them into stars it could also send an automated warning to the person in question, similiar words and phrases can be added for the system to detect so that work around words cannot be used unabated, it could then automatically give a temp ban over a period depending on the amount of rule breaking.

Automated programs are kind of iffy, anyway. Did you hear that China's attempt at mass-screening pornography ended up preventing people from viewing Garfield?

The point is programs don't have the human capability for discernment that's needed to properly respond to this sort of thing.

Indeed you can't count on bots. They have a tendency of taking things out of their context 😛
