How to make the Games vs Forums a better place

No. Make threads that actually follow the rules instead of asking for them to be changed.

your rules suck. 6 in gauntlet? childs play little room for free thought and imagination. really think about changing that otherwise close this suggestion thread. what the hell is the point of suggesting you make this place better if no steps are taken? and what is so wrong about longer gauntlets? nothing. Comics vs gets along fine with them. they have more traffic there anyway. doesnt seem like a problem, because it isnt.

Comics VS. is a comparative mess. Multiple reports come in from Comics VS. every single day, whereas this forum has seen plenty of traffic and zero reports for quite a while now. Obviously we're doing something right.

Six opponents is a sufficient length for a gauntlet. If you feel a particuar character should face more than that, save it for another gauntlet thread.

I guess this isn't really a suggestion, more of a question. But has anyone ever thought about getting some referees for these debates?

sure GK 6 is sufficient. but i do not see a problem with say 12.

Well, a lot of these threads sometimes just don't get anywhere. See Master Chief vs Samus and Sephiroth vs Link. Perhaps just about any Kain thread.

An impartial referee could make a call to stop such a thing from happening. They could probably help us all remember the rules to the debates too.

Good luck finding someone objective enough to work as referee. This isn't some competition or anything like that. It's a discussion forum.
Many just take all these discussions so seriously and can't stand losing, or can't stand someone else not giving up even though the outcome is "obvious"

If it was competitive or had an ultimate purpose, then a referee could prove useful. As it is right now and probably will stay though, it would do more harm than good.

That's what I figured.

You should instead cross your fingers that people become less obsessed with being right or winning.

And for the record, the rules that I've written for this forum have become the template for all of the Vs. forums on here now.

your opinion is bias. For the record 6 is not more than sufficient otherwise this wouldnt have been brought up.

You are the only one to think so in the nearly four years I've been a mod and had those rules in place. So obviously, it is.

i dont care about anyone else. i haven't been on here for 4 years. you act like this would be a problem since i would be the only using more than 6.

I am certainly not going to make any exceptions for one person. There is absolutely no chance of that happening.
