Nemesis, you'd make a great racist, religious extremist, or other ignorant jackass.

Also, you've said before lesbians gross you out, too.

Nemesis, you should come live in Lithuania. You'd love it here.

...no. They're not gone. They still exist, very strongly, and it's still difficult for women to get anywhere in most areas of higher education (past undergrad level) or the corporate world.

Ask yourself this - why are so many insults female-oriented, but have to have modifiers added to them to be used against a guy?

Not even close, and at any rate, most women would probably just roll their eyes at you and walk on.

It's difficult for everyone to get places in most areas of higher education (past undergrad level) and the corporate world. Most of that is because those positions are desirable.

For the same reason we still use other words from decades ago. The terms stick.

You could be correct, but that varies from person to person. You probably are, but they're still offended, they'd just rather avoid confrontation, like the law and common sense says we should.

So wait, you and your friends are half-lesbian and you've been arguing with me because I have a dislike towards gay men even though I never added women into the mix? How the heck are you offended again?

Wait, wait, wait. Did you just assume that because her friends were bi, they must be girls?

Or did you assume they were girls because they were Lana's friends?

Both are bad, but I wanna know which flavor of horrible close-mindedness this is.

Except it is significantly easier for males to get into higher positions. Discrimination based on gender is illegal, but it still occurs. Constantly. The concept of the glass ceiling, and the fact that women on a whole make much less than men for doing the same work, still exist and are still fact.

And language changes. That's not an excuse.

Not as offended, though, is the thing. It's not seen as such a dire insult.

Let's see.

Not all of my friends are female.

I pointed out in the past how a lot of people who think gay men are disgusting think gay women are hot, and you said you also thought that was disgustting.

How can I not be offended when you make such sweeping, ignorant, stupid generalizations about sexuality?

Well sorry for me not being turned on when you kiss another woman 😐

Good for you. I don't care at all and it's completely irrelevant.

It's the constant BS that you spout about how homosexuality is disgusting, and all these completely ignorant ideas you come up with about it that is highly offensive.

🤣

@ScreamPaste: racist? just because one gender wants to go after the same gender doesn't automatically make them a different race, it just makes them have a different activity in life.

Blame that on the fact that most of the people who hire people for those positions are men, and men feel they can judge other men better than women. Qualifications are always good, but interviews judge character, too. I'm not denying that there is some of what you say, but not all of those cases are because of gender discrimination.

Yes, it is. If my current history professor is correct, the term "Asia" was first used by the Greeks hundreds of years ago, and it stuck. The continent was named Asia, and the people of Asia are collectively referred to as Asians.

I'm not seeing the connection anymore. Your point was the reason for being offended, right? I'm not getting how not being as offended matters at all.

Your ignorance toward homosexuals is the same as ignorance toward religous people, or other races.

The full quote I believe was "Nemesis, you'd make a great racist, religious extremist, or other ignorant jackass."

If I was a jackass, I'd be on MTV already.

I do blame that fact. And yes, when it comes down to it, if two people are interviewing for a position, same credentials and qualifications, and one is selected simply because of what their gender is, then it is gender qualification. There's no two ways around it.

What a stupid and pedantic example. No, it is not an excuse as to why a great deal of insults are ones that are primarily aimed at women.

My point was that a lot of guys act like being called feminine or a girl is some horrible dire insult, and the sexist mindset that causes that. It's loaded with connotations and implications because of societal expectations of what a man and what a woman should be. Calling a woman masculine or a guy completely lacks these implications, and women aren't as likely to get as offended at such a thing anyway.

Nah. Believe it or not, even MTV still has standards.

Nah. They're just too immature to have grownups on their channel.

Now he thinks he's grown up. haermm

Nemesis, what I fail to grasp is HOW what people do in their bedroom, or who they date, effects you? I don't get it. Why is it your business, why do you care?

I only thought she had only girls as friends since I was mentioning a group of women, which is why when she said she had friends, I assumed she meant a group of women.

Then that isn't really sexism, that's them making their decision based on the person they feel more confident about.

Your point was that language changes. Those insults come from a time period when it was offensive for a man to be called womanly. But since the terms stick, they're here. The Asia example is an extreme case of a term sticking around for a very long time. Language will not always change.

This I know. And my point was that it is not a sexist mindset. My point was that if I told I looked feminine it would imply I might not have a penis, which I will take offense to for several reasons. Mostly because I DO have a penis and I like it. I'm rather attached to it. I'm pretty sure most other people feel the same way about their parts.
