I preferred C.S. Lewis' writing style over Tolkien's anyday.

Tolkien was overly descriptive to me with his unnecessary lakes of verbage, such to the point that things dragged on and seemed much less remarkable than they should be in my imagination.

I was able to see Lewis' world much more clearly.

Still, the LOTR movies are excellent. Better than the Narnia movies, which I also like.

I never liked Lewis. Narnia was just way to much "LALALA CHRISTIANITY IS AWESOME LALALA LOOK AT MY PARALLELS LALALA" for my taste. Even as a kid I was annoyed at how lacking in subtlety his writing was.

George Orwell is better than both J.R.R Tolkien and C.S. Lewis biscuits

Well, not really, but Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four are superb pieces of work.

I strongly disliked 1984. Same with a lot of the stuff they made us read in school. Probably because they made me read it.

Brave New World is better, in my opinion.
