I've only played the Kingdom Hearts itself & Chains of Memories. Will probably buy Birth By Sleep in October or something.
KH2 will have to wait.

Well I haven't played any other game with a kind of enemy like the Heartless or the Nobodies. I find those original from my personal experience. But the whole series has this real light vs darkness theme going on, which is not original at all. At least, it had that theme. Not sure how well it follows that anymore.

ive never played a game like kingdom hearts before but i dont like adventure/rpg's so... shrug

Depends on how you might define original. The individual worlds aren't for the most part. Jafar still wants the lamp, Peter Pan wants to save Wendy , etc. Some are mixed up, most notably to me being Beast's Castle. But as far as its main story....I'm not sure.

But yeah, even though it uses characters from different source materials, it at least handles them pretty well.

It does. Hell, Square actually treated the Disney characters better than the Final Fantasy ones.

I'm guessing it might. The design for a key doubling as a sword certainly is afaik. As to the original Keyblade's main function (locking up the Keyholes of the various Worlds), no idea.

They are. And actually, most of the games are midquels. In fact, only one real prequel.

I don't mind. They're revealing more about the KH-verse, which is great, as IMO, I find it rather interesting.

Also, they're making Kingdom Hearts 3D, which is apparently a main game rather than a side-story.
Still, it's for the 3DS, which sucks for me, as I wish the main games were on Playstation consoles as the first two were.

Damn it. I was hoping for an end to hand-held KH games.

I refuse the idea of 3D being a main story. It's said that it is supposed to connect the side games and it shows images of Sora and Riku in their old threads. I want more info on 3 though and when BBS is finally out and I beat it, will be easy to find stuff. KHIII is being held off because of Final Fantasy ****ing Versus XIII. Damn it.

I'm not a fan of Kingdom Hearts 😛

I just have never been able to get into the games. Loving Final Fantasy and Disney like I do, you'd think I'd find it awesome, but yeah. It's the gameplay that puts me off more than anything else.

Mickey Mouse is so neat in the games.
