I look at him honestly as video game strong. When I think of super strong I think of Thor or Superman. Video game strong is someone who is strong enough to get the job done in their games while being more often than not far stronger than any real person but far, far weaker than any top tier such as Thor or Superman in comics.

And we've discovered another problem. This is what you think. I don't care what your personal definition of super strong is. The standard definition is strength beyond human limits. Any varying levels beyond that you can name whatever you want, but it doesn't change the fact that "super strong" still applies. Or that you were wrong.

Well I think that this portrayal thing is still complete and total bullshit. Mostly because with the way you've been saying it, Link consistently performing super strength feats still doesn't mean he's portrayed as super strong. And, well, that kind of eliminates the only way I can think of to be portrayed as such.

Miyamoto: Yeah, that’s right. As we’re making Zelda I continue to discuss with Aonuma-san and the team as to why and what makes Zelda so much fun. We talk a lot about what is that flavor of Zelda. I think there’s a sense of realism in being in the land of Hyrule. But I think that realism comes from the characters and the details of the scenes. You need a sense that you are actually doing these actions, that you are in that world. So in that sense pushing a huge block is actually kind of absurd. I don’t think anyone wants to see a young man pushing giant blocks with graphics that are better than that of the GameCube.

Iwata: There is no way someone could push an object bigger than them that’s most likely made out of stone.

Miyamoto: And you know, it’s not like it’s comedic, he has a serious look on his face of what he is doing. But that’s fun when you actually play it. It’s because there’s some sense of experience. You feel it.

Problem has been solved. I hope it is never brought up again.

Our definition is different then.

I never said he wasn't stronger than normal men.

Looking at the sun can cause you to go blind. I can state the obvious too.

Quan, your personal definition of super-strength is not in any way relevant here.

K.

Superman/Shazam short feature was good.

Another good showing for Captain Marvel. They are slowly building his name back up in the modern age.

Just got a voice message from Ridley Prime on Xbox Live and uh...it was to let everybody know that he had a sex change and is now a chick 😐

NemeGullible, it should be obvious that it was just a prank message made by someone whom I let borrow my account for a little while. If I really became a chick, don't you think I would've at least changed my XBL dashboard avatar to that of a girl by now, or changed my gender status here?

Secondly, no one here really cares about your or our business on X-Box Live, so stop bringing crap like that up needlessly.

Good thing no one gives a damn how strong comic characters are here!

Or do they? 😖hifty:

Also, yes. Fantasy Medieval is teh sexiest, although I'm perfectly fine with just about any of those said time periods.

Just finished Lords of Shadow at last. Must say this is action game of the year material. I wonder how they going to do the sequel based on the ending though.

mmm

Trufax. I'm trying to read up on Kain to see if he's worthy of a match here against Gabriel.

Curious about the sequel, too, but the whole concept

Spoiler:
(Dracula and Death fighting Hell in modern day)
intrigues me a lot.

What did you think about the last guy ? I thought he was lame but the other bosses were very cool imo especially the first major boss.

I didn't like it at first but once it got rolling really enjoyed it. The ending after the credits was awesome too and got me excited for a sequel.

I didn't like it as much as dante's inferno or gow3 but still a very good action game I want to see more of.

...how could Dante's Inferno possibly be better than Lords of Shadow? I am truly, honestly curious what criteria DI does better for you, since in my opinion LoS outclassed DI on all fronts.

The graphics for one, the cinemas looked much better, I liked the darker imagery as well throughout hell as opposed to the jungles, castles(the mother's castle was pretty cool though),dante and the voice actors were better than gabriel's va by far.

I know Patrick Stewart is the narrator and a major character but his voice doesn't do it for me.

I loved the end boss as he seemed to fit in more than the end boss for lords of shadow. I won't name him as it will ruin it for someone playing the game because you only get a hint when talking to that witch(baba yaga or something ) who shrinks you briefly until the final cinema before the final battle.

I liked both games a lot but dante's inferno was just more memorable to me.

Also let me know when you are going to either reopen the gabriel belmont thread or allow him to be debated for or against along with all the cooler enemies and bosses.

Dante's Inferno?

You mean the game that was like God of War, only worse?

Most of these games are all compared to gow. I heard it too with regards to castelvania. Gow sets the bar I agree but I loved dante's inferno it's what got me back into gaming. When you think why oh why did quan have to come here think dante's inferno and be truly terrified.

Dante's Inferno was a straight-up GoW clone, though, and made no attempt to hide it.

And it was universally seen as a pretty mediocre game.

Both games were compared as gof of war lite and I've seen castelvania ripped as well. Neither are as well done as gow and I have already listed my reasons for preferring it over castlevania. Loved all three though.
