Also, by first three, do you mean the Original Trilogy (first three to come out) or the Prequels (first three in canon chronology)? [/B]

Actually he mentioned Magic and The Force, not the movies themselves. TECHNICALITIES! Same to this General Kaliero fellow.

but technically you didn't mention those.
but technically
technically

And by first three episodes. I mean episodes 1, 2, and 3. That would be why I said first three episodes.

What was it you guys said about reading? link-rape

Mentioning Hogwarts magic and the Force is mentioning the movies/books/whatever they came from, if mentioning characters is mentioning the movies they're from. So either Imp mentioned all of them, or none of them. Your 'technicality' failed.

And with Star Wars, saying "I saw the first three" explains nothing. Some people would infer that to be the original trilogy, ie the first three movies that came out. Some people would infer that to mean the prequels, the first three in the chronology. Also, if you've only seen the prequels...*shudders* Go watch the ones that don't suck.

Your attempts at hiding your fail fail ๐Ÿ˜Š

Did you enjoy them?

I think that HP magic could beat the Force as it's known within the original trilogy... but extended universe Force would dominate HP magic.

Pretty much this. Unless the new CGI Star Wars movie has done something new with the Force that would make me think otherwise.

Rogue Jedi would LOVE the two of you. ๐Ÿ˜

Technicality means I'm technically correct. And I am, because he did not say "Harry Potter" or "Star Wars."

And if you would read like you told me to do, I said "first three episodes."

Edit: And no Aura, not really.

If you've only seen the Star Wars prequels, you fail unbelievably hard and I hate you and your guts.

You've never seen the original trilogy? How old are you, man?! ๐Ÿ˜›

I don't want to see the original trilogy.

Kids today, I swear. This pains me.

And you still are not reading. Your technicality is not working because you claim he didn't mention those two specific movies, but you're fine with the others because he named characters from them. When in fact he mentioned SW and HP even more specifically when he did the others, because almost everyone's going to know what the Force and Hogwarts are, but someone may not know the name of a character.

And, again, like I've said more than once now, "first three movies" means nothing when it comes to Star Wars.

Honestly, are you deliberately this obtuse? If so, you're a worse troll than Blax.

Actually Peach, I'm fine with the others because he mentioned their titles. If you would point out to me where he said Harry Potter or Star Wars in that post I'll be glad to admit I'm wrong.

Episodes. Episodes. Episodes. That is what they are called, right? First three episodes...number one, two, and three. All it takes is some counting.

Okay, apparently I didn't read Imp's post (I just skimmed it, honestly, movies bore me). But my point still stands. Referencing the Force is pretty much the same as just plain stating the name of the movies. Everyone knows what it's from, unless they've lived in a hermit cave for the past 35 years.

You don't have to specifically name something to mention it.

Yes, and like I said - that doesn't necessarily mean that saying "the first three movies" means the prequel movies, because a lot of people say "the first three" to mean the first three to come out. In fact, I'd say anyone who saw Star Wars more than a dozen years ago (aka, before the prequels come out) will say "first three" to mean the OT.

The episodes 4,5,6 were made first. And a lot of people do watch that series first, which is why that question was asked.

Well, he mentioned the movies specifically with the McClane, Riggs, Preston and Hit-Girl, I guess he felt Hogwarts and the Force didn't need specific introduction. Though I guess you saw that now.

You guys wanna know something you'll really hate? I'm not even a Star Wars fan. I think Lucas got lucky once and he's been riding it ever since.

You have no idea how much so.

Well, I think he got lucky twice...but I don't need to like Lucas or what he has done before or after to enjoy what he (and everyone else involved) did with certain Star Wars movies, nor would I hate you for not being a fan of Star Wars. People with bad taste have to exist to show the difference to those with good taste.

It's funny, too, as initially RJ was completely on the Star Wars side and Robtard on HP

He actually got lucky before Star Wars with American Graffiti...I think anyway? I can't recall if that's what it was called or not.

Lucas is overrated though, I will admit. Compared to other directors that have made movies I enjoy more, like Cameron.

Well...a Force person could steal the wizards wand or try to mind wipe them. But it would largely depend on the people fighting. I can't think of a single Force user that I'd pick over, say, Dumbledore.
