Pffft. The Tyranids are stalemating the Orks on Octarius, were defeated by a single Eldar craftworld, and lost to the Tau, with the Tau not losing a single ship in the process. Tyranid suffer from that weaksawce "we cant do shit without the ovah mind!" weakness. There must be a trope for that.

edit- Meh, the trope is lame.

Reread the codex, They're taking ground against all of those enemies, simultaneously. The fleet that lost to the Tau was Gorgon, and the Tau were assisted by the Imperium as well as the Dark Eldar.

Leviathan is fighting multiple craft worlds, dozens of space marine chapters, thousands of IG armies, the most powerful Ork empire in the galaxy, the Tau, ect, all at once. And they've only been slowed down.

Are you and I thinking of the same fights? Did a double check, and no we're not. I'm referring to Shadowsun's fight against a splinter fleet, not Gorgon. As for the Eldar, I'm referring to the Iyanden's fight against Kraken. Kraken ws annhilated, Iyanden survived with enough strength left to fend off an ork invasion later.

The Imperim has been doing this for thousands of years.

You can not take this seriously. They say this sort of thing in every codex for all races. It's the same crap they pull with comic books, where they try to make it seem like every faction/character can hang with the others. Batman can hang with Superman in one fight, than the next issue he'll lose to Deathstroke, etc. According to the BT codex, "If the Black Templars ever united for one crusade, they would be unstoppable", or something akin to that. Look up the orcs and you get "If the orcs realized their true psychic power, they could dominate the galaxy", "The Tau Empire is advancing at an unprecedented rate and blah blah blah" "Necrons are awakening and gonna gank the galaxy zomg". I gaurentree you, the Tyranid are never going to get too far into the Imperium. Right now they've got the element of surprise, but once the IG gets united and some more chapters get involved, Leviathan's going down even faster than Behemoth and Kraken did.

Except I'm not using hyperbole, I'm using direct quotes. Kraken and Behemoth have both already been stopped, Leviathan is larger.

The IG is united, and the Tyranids are still advancing despite the best opposition available. This isn't a hyperbolic "unstoppable!" claim. The Tyranids have one of those like every faction, though, although like the Necrons, and Chaos, it's not hyperbolic.

If the Tyranids show up in force, the Galaxy is pooched. They are canonicly confirmed in the 5E rulebook you've been avoiding reading to have already consumed dozens of galaxies. ๐Ÿ˜›

The things I listed are direct quotes from the Codex as well.

Yeah whatever, we're both looking at the same thing. ๐Ÿ˜›

The IG is not united. By your own source, it's stated that the Imperium is raising "thousands of armies". There are, according to the IG codex, billions of regiments. Thousands is an insignificant percentile to billions. It says "dozens of space marine chapters", there are a thousand chapters, and according to the BT codex, even to this day, the Black Templars have still never been united for a single crusade against a single opponent. Obviously, the Imperium is hardly going balls deep into Leviathan.

Obviously none of those Galaxy's have had the Imperial Guard in them. 313

Shin is actually pretty correct.

Chaos, Necrons, and the Tyranids are, collectively, the most powerful factions.

Chaos and the Necrons are the strongest, I think. I'll start having a little faith in the Tyranids when every intrusion they make into the Galaxy doesn't end with "a single hive tyrant was killed and the remaining Tyranid forces fell into disarray." They've been defeated too many times for me to think they'd stand a chance against the full 100% of the Imperium's forces, even mono e mono.

I'd just like to point out that while currently the most powerful faction, the Imperium is constantly losing ground and worlds and cannot unite all of it's force on a single foe, and never has. ๐Ÿ˜› If the Imperium got it's collective shit together against the Tyranids, it'd still eventually lose.

Also, I like to point out that dozens is the most chapters I can recall dedicated to a single cause that isn't the Heresy.

Valentine's Day is on the 14th, do you give yourself presents a day late?

My valentines present to myself:
Applying at a pub three cities over and praying.

With luck, I'll be in there by March, what better time to work a bar?

December?

I dunno, St. Patrick's day draws 'em in pretty good. I know I've seen some ridiculous nights in March. ๐Ÿ˜›

Lets see over twenty chapters went to armageddon alone, a single planet.

When have more then three chapters ever fought at a single battle against a hive fleet shin. I dont care if the imperium is raising 2 dozen chapters to fight the nids spread out all over the imperiums underbelly. name one battle where they were enough of a threat that more then three space marine chapters actually came to fight them on said world. If you can then I will like the nids more then the tau. ๐Ÿ˜

Also the cadian 9th devastated hive fleet scarabus at the walls of fortress carcasson without losing a single company. What kind of race fails to kill a SINGLE COMPANY OF GUARDSMEN.
Theres also the catanchan XVIII who held off the tyranids for seven years on the world of koralkal VIII, eventually beating them.

Sorry shin thats the imperiums finest arent near hive fleet leviathan yet. Dont worry maybe some day the tyranids will actually be able to not get ambushed by catachans (h).

you guys sound just like the battletech **** I used to talk to(and be).

Clan or Innersphere, Steiner or Davion, Wolf or Jade Falcon, Gray Death Legion or Wolf's Dragoons, Battle of Tukayyid, Battle of Luthien, etc.

take this faggotry to it's own thread/chatroom/emails/facebook. DO NOT WANT

Also, Scream, a hive fleet that's two or three times bigger than the other hive fleets will do nothing against an army that's about 2 billion times larger than anything they've seen before. Just sayin' brosky!

The more I look back on it the more disdain I feel for Harry Potter, the character.

So that movie Wanted is not good at all.

Marion Tinsley is the most awesome man in history. You should all be like him.
