Agreed. They're fairly competent all of a sudden. It's good shit.

CN always running two episodes in a row with Black and White?

Dunno.

I'm so glad Back and White will look enhanced on the 3DS. Makes my longer wait seem less bad now.

No offense to anyone that likes it but why is Pokemon still going on? I rarely see any kids that the franchise should target, playing the games. That might just be a closed observation but it's pretty rare to see anyone born in the 2000+ gen of youth playing Pokemon.

I'm surprised that they got to a Gen V. after making Arceus. It should've stopped at 3 IMO. But if people like it then oh well.

It was the kiddy aspect of Pokemon that attracted children. It's nerd shit percentages and number crunching that attracts nerds. Most kids don't become nerds until they're teenagers.

So, basically, when the pokemon show and trading card game was good, which was in the 90's, it attracted kids. The games attracted the nerds. In the 2000's, the show and the card games began to suck balls, and they also started to see competition in shows like digimon and yu-gi-oh, both of whom also had their own trading cards, so less children were attracted to Pokemon. However, the game has not changed at all over the last 15 years, so nerds still love the game.

The Pokemon trading card game was never any good. ๐Ÿ˜

I was pretty sure Digimon was around before 2000, too. But I don't really know. That show sucked.

Yeah, the only good card game was Yu-gi-oh.

The Digimon cartoon was awesome, crazy fool. Myotismon arc ftw! It was better than Pokemon at least. That show always sucked. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Wow, what? Digimon was freakin' terrible.

I'm relatively sure that Digimon didn't reach the peak of its popularity in America until the 2000's. I could be wrong though. As far as a timeline goes, everything that's happened in my life prior to around 2006 is basically blurred together. ๐Ÿ˜

THIS TWO HOUR LONG REVIEW TELLS ME OTHERWISE!

EDIT: Basically, Digimon actually had character development, an ensemble cast all with believable, likeable personalities and a good, engaging storyline which made it a really good show.

You're out of your mind if you think that. I mean, compared to Pokemon Digimon is far and away a much better show. For several reasons.

Her and I live in the same state. Now onto watching the videos!

Edit: I hate being sleepy.

Hated Digimon. Shit sucked.

That review just tells me you're not the only one wrong about Digimon.

You're just mad 'cause there no ultra nerdy video games for it.

Actually there are 23 Digimon video games. ๐Ÿ˜›

edit: VVV Indeed, Pokemon couldn't hope to have a character as complex as the Digimon Emperor in it's wildest dreams

What makes Digimon better than Pokemon in most every regard:

Plot.
Characters.

And Movies. The movies were so much better.

Do not dislike Pokemon of course. Digimon is just far and away much better.

Edit: Actually season 3, the one with the cards anyway, was likely the best.

It astounds me how you can watch garbage like the Pokemon cartoon while still mantaining such self-importance.

Digimon was superior in terms of writing, both the overall plot and the characters were superior to Pokemon.

Making armies is fun but also tedious. ๐Ÿ˜

Because we all know plot and characters you can relate to are important to children.

The reason I like Pokemon is and always has been for the creatures in it. Digmon did not have a single good one in every series I have seen, except for perhaps the one where they turned into the Digimon, in which case Lobomon, the beetle and the bear were all awesome. And then they ruined them by making the human forms insignificant in favor of Beast forms and absurd fusions. So I wasn't even watching the one that I liked for very long.

Children are in fact capable of enjoying a show with great characters and plot. Stuff like Gundam may have been a bit much(mostly because I was really young and can't remember a single thing) but shows like Reboot or DBZ were fun and had strikingly memorable moments. Pokemon, when they decided to, had those moments as well like when Ash lost to Richie or was gonna let Pikachu go.

While I liked Digimon season 4, it is not considerably loved for that same reason. They did have awesome designs though. Angemon in particular was one I always liked.
