I have zero experience with Digimon, personally, but based on those I would say Digimon are a bit more...complicated than pokemon. Their designs seem to have a whole lot going on at once. I dunno, just look like they're going in several different directions.
In my experience, Pokemon are generally simpler. There are exceptions, of course, but that's just my observation. Maybe you just like the complicated Digimon.

Well that's because Pokemon as a real are more simple. Most of them are based off something in real life and while Digimon are as well, it's more of a crazy world to experiment with. That and Pokemon tends to a game primarily over an anime and all the Pokemon must be at the least presented in some way in the games. Can't go too complex. Not that Digimon doesn't have videogames but the anime did take precedent.

Though on the bright side I feel more justified than ever in my dislike of Digimon and appreciation of Pokemon.
@ Aura: Mythos isn't done yet. Zekrom and Reshiram are Yin and Yang, the two things that came together in the original mythology that created the egg Arceus is said to have been born from. Essentially, Zekrom and Reshiram would be two halves of Arceus. And I don't know what they'll do after that. But would you honestly have problem if they went back in the direction that brought MewTwo?
Again, makes no sense. Lazy like they didn't work as hard on it? Because that makes even less sense considering that many of the designs are more complicated than the likes of Charizard, MewTwo, and Ditto.
The unintersting shit still just baffles me. And nobody seems to have a reason for feeling that way about them.
