"I've never seen it" doesn't mean the same thing as "It'll never happen".

I see you can't actually address my point. Me saying it never happens is not what happened, me saying its not as common place as a dog is what I said. Your original statement was that you feel cats are more loving. You've yet to be able to back up this claim or counter my examples of dog affection for their friends.

Hence the 'lower expectations' quip about cat people I made. ๐Ÿ˜›

God, I'd hope not. And no, most dogs wouldn't. Those stories you here about are the one-in-a-million exceptions, not the rule.

Of course you wouldn't want him to. But if he loves you enough, he would. You'd take a bullet for Peach wouldn't you General? I hope so.

No. Dogs giving their lives for theirs owners is the EXPECTED, par for the course type of devotion that a dog gives, not the 'exception'.

There is no reason to bat an eye at a story about a dog giving their life trying to save a family member. No more reason to bat an eye at a story about a mother doing the same for her child. Because its common place as hell.

Hell, I grew up with pet dogs. We never had a cat until I was 11. And I still think cats are the superior pets. Pets with dependency issues are not my cup of tea.

Just more evidence that dog and cat people are born, not made. ๐Ÿ˜›

Yeah, because they're too smart to do something so completely and utterly stupid ๐Ÿ˜›

Since when is a ridiculously idiotic action likely to cause harm 'crazy awesome'?

Idiotic and dangerous actions are required to be crazy awesome. If it is neither it may be simply awesome. She was fine, happy as could be, and never did it again. That same dog can and will open doors, go get the food bowl tO say she's hungry, and has at least once played fetch alone.

Just because she'll occasionally do something insane does not mean she's stupid.

I have a turtle. Owned her since 3rd grade or so. She's still going strong. ๐Ÿ™‚

Can you actually prove this?

Because simply stating it over and over again does not make it true.

That said, me saying dogs were smarter was a fact, but I prefer cats.

Why?

Because I am far too lazy to own a dog.

Granted this is a matter of preference, truthfully I would be perfectly content not owning a pet at all.

She'll outlive you. estahuh

I question the intelligence of cats since they do stupid things like this:

Dogs often do that too.

Very few animals understand the concept of a reflection.

You do realize total strangers could take bullets for another if both of them were decent people who simply did not want the other to die right? Both Peach and the General are not though so it doesn't matter. Obviously kidding of course.

lulz at this massive dog fanboyism. Understandable though given the circumstances.

Absolutely, but I'd be blue in the face before I'd be done posting mountains of material before a concession would be forced to be made by the ardent naysayers. Why elaborate on what should be common knowledge?

๐Ÿ™‚

And yeah, she'll probably outlive me.

Dogs can protect kids from dangerous wildlife:

When have you heard of a cat have the balls to protect people from animals like that?

Wait, what do you want him to prove? That Dogs ave lives?

Anyway, to end this silly discussion:

http://www.cracked.com/article/226_6-adorable-cat-behaviors-with-shockingly-evil-explanations/

That one article that everyone here has already read. qed. **** cats. There "affections" aren't even real. Greedy, lazy mother****ers the lot of them.

Yes, I do realize that crazy people exist.

lulz at this massive dog fanboyism.

It's easy to be a fanboy of an animal that gives one so much material to adore.

Again, sad low expectations cat people. ๐Ÿ™‚

lol for 2 obvious reasons.

1. A cat beat up a dog.

2. For every sob story one can find a not so sob story. Case in point my friends dogs went crazy and started killing a cow for laughs and had to be put down.

Though there is one obvious reason to like cats more than dogs. One not mentioned yet.

Yet if a dog does this it is loving and loyal, not crazy? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Please, I have no expectations. Sorry I don't count on a small animal to protect me in my time of need.

I am not saying you are wrong. Frankly I don't give a shit either way.

I am aware of dogs saving people's lives, and would say it occurs more often than with cats, by far.

But to say it happens more times than not is something althogether different.

It was a cougar.

That said, the biggest and strongest "dogs" have nothing on the biggest and strongest cats. Aka Ligers. O:
