Have owned 3 dogs in my lifetime. All throughout my life I have had self esteem problems. Gonna need more help than that.
Which most cats aren't. So it's a tad unfair to expect a tiny cat to take on a large animal that it couldn't beat. Not that there aren't stories of that I'm sure.

To answer lame cats you list lame dogs....Only one of these I actually like is Scooby Doo which is largely due to nostalgic value. And I do not feel the need to justify legendary cats that are win so long as the Chesire Cat exists. Him>

No, its on the news because the situation does not often arise--in relative terms-- that a dog has to risk their life for their owner(Even still, you can find hundreds of stories on this sort of behavior on any given month). But when it does, you can bet that most dogs will do so without a moment's hesitation. Dogs live for their pack.
