Well it looked that way to me when he was trying to kill them throughout the entire game. Yeah, it is their fault on that, but the Grey Wardens need to keep the information about how suicidal becoming one is on the down low so they can actually get some recruits.Great men don't allow their country to get near overrun by darkspawn, don't sell their own people into slavery and don't make retarded tactical calls every 5 minutes.
The darkspawn over very formidable and this was one of the shortest blights ever so saying a great man can crush a blight in less time probably hasn't happened and doesn't determine or undermine how great of a man you are.

He seemed rather keen on trying to exterminate them if you ask me. Otherwise he wouldn't tell his men to kill/capture (and kill later) Wardens on sight. Sure, blame the only people who give a damn about real threats unlike Loghain. He may have been great during the Ferelden-Orlesian War in the past but since he's paranoid, he really isn't.
Btw, you didn't answer my question.
What did he do that was so monstrously stupid ?
What question ?

I listened to Winter Wrap-Up directly after, and it is indeed probably my favorite Friendship is Magic song. Save the best for last, ey?What the hell could Anora have done? If Orlais wanted to take Fereldan, it could. It is the most powerful country in Thedas, and militarily only the Qunari, Anderfels and Tevinter can match it.
Loghain was a fool. He may have believed what he was doing was justified, but he was not, it stemmed from his fear of Orlais. Cailan foolish? Cailan's foolish boy king persona was a ruse, to boost morale among the troops. He is much more cunning than you realise. For instance, he was in the process of establishing a permanent, good connection with Orlais, which would have been good for Fereldan. But naw, **** dem Frenchies.
Also, he would not have crushed the Darkspawn. Shattering the political infrastructure of a nation and nearly starting a civil war with your stupidity would not have helped him fight the Darkspawn, especially since you need a Grey Warden to end a Blight. Without the PC Grey Warden, Fereldan would have fallen.
Loghain has no clue about the warden killshot of the archdemon so you can't fault him for that. What I don't get is why once the blight is over why doesn't anyone take a massive army and wipe out all remaining darkspawn in the deep roads.
It's storming...again...
My phone doesn't take great videos (especially at night) but that shows some of the constant lightning...though that video is pretty calm compared to right now.

History dictates that every Blight had to be ended by the Grey Wardens. As Flemeth said, only fools ignore history. Because, even after the Blight, the Darkspawn are numerous beyond reckoning, and they can pump out new Darkspawn faster than the other dudes can pump out their own respective race. The majority of the Dwarven Empire, which was larger than every other empire in Thedas, fell to the Darkspawn, and the Deep Roads is filled with them. It would require nothing less than the uniting of every cgroup on Thedas to war against the Darkspawn of the Deep Roads, and even that might not be enough.

Loghain was getting to them and didn't take them lightly and knew ferelden needed to be united to stop them.
They can pump them out quickly but when they aren't organized they are a lot easier to pick off then when the archdemon summons them. Picking them off here and there as an army would be far more effective when taking on tiny groups here and there. They'd be easy to massacre since they were so spread out until an archdemon came a callin.

He got what he deserved. He died and Loghain lived. He was a foolish king.Loghain was getting to them and didn't take them lightly and knew ferelden needed to be united to stop them.

Yeah, right. I guess that is why he fractured Fereldan and caused a civil war, right? But no, you are gonna ignore that, right?
You're really not getting how many Darkspawn there are. Imagine an elaborate set of tunnels and caverns, comprising all of Thedas and beyond. All of that is chock filled with Darkspawn. You have no idea what you are talking about, you never do, they are not spread out, please get off of this forum and stop exposing us to you.

He was in the end seeking to reunite it and whether he won or the warden it was going to be united for a common threat.
Uhm, yes they are spread out you fight some in rooms and others nearby. Usually the threat is something a party of four can take on. As usual you put your foot into your mouth and ignore the main part of the game where you fight darkspawn throughout.
Only when united by the archdemon do they pose a threat to a massive army. I mean come on man. If four party members can kill a crap ton imagine what a well trained army can do consisting of mages, golems, archers, mabari, and warriors. They'd eat them alive as they would be leaderless and rudderless. Only when an archdemon comes do they become a threat to the entire land as they have direction.
It's getting old explaining things to you when you're old enough to figure them out by now.

We saw what that looks like, actually.
Going from like 4:30 onwards, you can see in the background that even the weakest form of Darkspawn is a match for your average soldier in a 1 on 1 fight, skillwise. The stronger ones require an elite warrior to fight, and it just so happens that every single person in your party happens to be "exceptional".
So no. With the Darkspawn having equally skilled fighters and the numerical advantage, they'd win an all out fight.
