I apparently have that, too. Crushing the universe beneath my boot sounds awfully satisfying.

I can think of at least one poster who would be supremely pleased. haermm

Hello nightmare fuel.

Enemies of the Imperium, hear me. You have come here to die. The Immortal Emperor is with us, and we are invincible; you can not win. His soldiers will strike you down. His war-machines will crush you under his treads. His mighty guns will bring the very sky crashing down upon you. So make yourselves ready. We are the 5th Kronus Regiment, and today is our victory day.

Lady friend told me that I remind her of the guy from this trailer.

Not sure if I should take it as a complement or not. Trailer actually kinda appeals to me, for whatever reason.

This is relevant.

Yes!

I started playing Warhammer 40K: Space Marine today. Made it to part 2.

That verse is kinda hardcore.

That game is ****ing manly. Titus is a complete boss. I think you'll like him, he's pretty heroic.

So far, yeah, he's pretty cool. But from what I gather, it's hard to craft a more heroic character since the setting is so completely dark and essentially indomitable for the Space Marines.

I mean, isn't everything in that damn universe out to kill them? And aren't they vastly outnumbered by everything, too? I don't know a whole lot, but I'd guess that just to survive in the turf of an entire galaxy that wants to kill 'em, the human race gave in to being ruled by one supremely powerful dictator. They're called the Imperium of Man, right?

I'm kinda hoping the Tyranids are in this game. Because even these Orks are neat as more of a swarm type enemy. Reminds me of those five hours or so I spent beating the first Resistance game.

That is true, very, very true, which is part of what makes Titus so outstanding.

You're kind of close. The Emperor actually has been 'dead' (He's on life support) for 10 000 years, and the Lords of Terra (Earth) do their best to rule in his stead. He's been on life support so long, though, and things got so bad, that the Imperium has... Gotten worse. Really bad. He actually took over the reigns of Earth during the Age of Strife, IIRC. Before the age of strife humanity had spread across the galaxy, but during it the warp became violent and warp storms and shit seperated most of the human worlds from one another. Then the Emperor, a godlike psyker, took over and launched a crusade to reunite the Imperium. During that time everything was really progressive, science was on the up and up, things were awesome.

And then the Emperor got 'killed' and the Imperium hit a dark age because of a crazy civil war. 10 000 years later most technology is practically considered magic, and no one knows how to make it anymore, and the Imperium sacrifices billions upon billions of soldiers to fight off their enemies. Mostly the Planetary Defense Forces and Imperial Guard.

The Space Marines themselves are elite knight analogues.

Yeah. They're no SPARTAN's, but Space Marines are pretty kewl and strong, right Scream?

We both know a marine would tear John in half, armour or not. <3 Titus in particular.

Your troll posts are endearing and all, but c'mon, where's the effort? DON'T YOU STILL THINK I'M PRETTY, BLAX?

Nah, the Master Chef was completely unharmed by a point blank nuclear explosion at the end of Halo 4. Kaldor Draigo and Mephiston would break their hands punching his armor. 313

I was editting as you replied, lame. And scans.

Halo's Spartans seem to be a complete ripoff of the Space Marines, by the way. Spartan armor regenerates, they're genetically engineered super soldiers, and there were much fewer of them than regular soldiers. Space Marines seem to have been around longer, but the idea of genetically enhanced super soldiers isn't exactly a unique one to begin with.

The resemblance just seems uncanny.

And yeah, Paste. I just read a lot of that on some wiki. The most recent version of their civilization blows. Hardcore.

These Necrons seem pretty cool though, granted they would have been cooler before actually becomin' dem Necrons.

You didn't actually provide any instances of their similarities, besides the fact that they're both genetically enhanced super soldiers. xD

How else are they similar? The concept of "super human soldier in power armor" was first created in the 50's-60's.
