I'd say that regular Superman can beat the Surfer. Not often, but it's doable for a couple outta ten.

Amped Superman certainly makes the battle closer, or tips it in the favor of Kal-El. I'd say this goes around 4-6/10 for either combatant.

As for Star Masters i never read it myself, who defeated him?

The mother box draws power/energy/whatever from the source.

So....yeah, theoretically, it's unlimited.

How would it eventually run out when it's source of power is the source? Are you implying Surfer would outlast the source in energy output/whatever?

As for Star Masters i never read it myself, who defeated him?

It was some guy who could absorb energy. I dont remember the name and the book isn't here in front of me. This guy who had like uber Tp powers contolled a planet and had like this very powerful personal guard. One guy even seemed stronger than the hulk. he ended up turning good. Can't member the story in detail but surfer did get pwned.

But in anycase, that really can't be used for a valid "weakness" that can be expoited because it was just one instance..
Also surfer rarely engages in physical combat imo, so i still cant see him getting knocked around by supes. His durablity is being over looked as well...he was able to take a shot against Tenebrous(who fighting Galactus to a stand still) in Annhilation, and still was able to channel the cruch.
Edit: the examples that ur were using shouldent really be taken into account, the Infinity Crusade arc was taken place in the 80's and Star Masters is at least ten years old..Surfer has chanced ALOT since then.

If Orion cant use it properly, i doubt Supes can.

He was able to Hurt the star conqueror and Blast away a galaxy or something to that affect. Anway, the general has no weakness.
