And Thanos also hurt Tyrant more in less time. He never hurt Odin. Period.

Odin gave Thanos the opportunity to give up. That's a pretty good indication that he wasn't going for the kill. If he were, there was nothing stopping Odin from walking over to Thanos while he was on all fours and stabbing him with Gungnir.

No, he stated specifically, "Given the chance, I'm sure you would, but further struggle is pointless. I have withstood you, and I have obtained that which i sought.
Our business is concluded."
THAT'S why he left.

Speculation. He didn't leave, because that would have defeated the whole purpose of him being there in the first place.

against odin he wasnt going anywhere. why didnt he yield then. becuz he was doing just fine, he wasnt near death by any means.
what does thanos care if thor gets out of his block and satrts tearing up on asgard. he didnt he was having fun testing odin.

You have no proof that Tyrant is above Skyfather. He has never beaten no one at skyfather level with his own power. Surtur has. He beat a Thor with his power amplified many, many, many times.
prove surtur could hang in there with someone this powerful.

I side with Surtur because he is a skyfather-level being who has always given Odin problems. He is powerful enough to hold his own with Odin even in Asgard.Tyrant is still questionable as far as his exact power level is. At his original power, he was beaten by Galactus and depowered. So now, he's at a level where he can smack around heralds and Thanos with ease, but we don't know how far beyond that he is. He fought Galactus again, he had to use a plot device to beat him. He won't have that luxury against other powerful beings.
So, other than the 2 fights against Galactus (one at full power where he lost and the other where he used a plot device), Tyrant has only faced and defeated Thanos level and below. That's not enough to put him above skyfather IMO.
Well one could possibly argue for Thanos giving Odin problems as well.
But cool just wanted to hear why you where with Surtur, and I can understand thats because of Tyrant lacking real On Panel feats to put him at that level IYO correct?

I dare say that Surtur is at least as strong as Odin, if not stronger.
But remember that both of them wasn't exactly taking the fight seriously at the beginning, but later in the fight both of them got more serious we never saw Tyrant get serious Thanos also said himself that if he continued then he would die, Odin also began Taking Thanos more and more serious els he wouldn't have used his spear against Thanos.
But at the same time Odin is the only one Surtur has ever feared so...

But One thing is for sure Thanos was outclassed both by Odin and Tyrant.
I would call Thanos pretty messed up to used 4 panels to stand up straight while in the Tyrant fight he stood up immidiatly. But ofcause the Tyrant fight hadn't stretch over as big a interval as the Odin fight.

1. Tyrant was using lethal force. Odin didn't. If he did, he wouldn't have asked if Thanos yielded. Nothing more happened to Thanos, other than his suit being destroyed. That happened in both cases.
2. Surtur has taken blows from a heavily amped Thor and Tarene without reacting. He was beating ALL of Asgard's warriors at the same time. Odin had to absorb Tarene and Thor's mystial energies in order to send him away in a kamikaze attack.
3. Has Tyrant EVER beaten anyone at skyfather level through the use of his own power?

I think thats because he is from the same dimesnion as Odin. Hes not from Asagard but hes from the 9 worlds so I assume even if Odin wasnt in Asagard and he went to alfheim he would not less powerful or much less powerful.

Doesn't look to me like he isn't using Lethal Force.

Looks like Thanos has turned this into a demonstration of his might
2. And one time Odin simple sealed Surtur away without any problems.
3. No he hasn't unless beating Galactus through a plot device. 😛

1. How many times has Thor claimed that someone is going to die without going all out? The energy that they use there might be lethal force to a high herald or a planet, but not to people at Thanos' level and above. If Odin really wanted to kill Thanos, he would be dead.
2. Latest encounter counts. He couldn't seal away Surtur easily this time. Go pick up a comic.
3. So Tyrant has never beaten anyone above skyfather. Yet you guys all claim he is above skyfather. Very interesting.

1. This isn't thor Claiming anything, and never the less Odin is surprised that Thanos still remained breathing as the scan clearly shows. And I could turn around and say exactly the same thing with Tyrant, if he wanted him dead he would be, els Thanos wouldn't have felt the need to teleport out of there if he was sure of success. Also as mentioned earlier that Thanos that Tyrant fought wasn't the same Thanos that Odin fought, since in the Tyrant battle he used a form of Plot device to attack Tyrant, if he really wanted to test his abilities then he wouldn't have felt the need to take the orb, Thanos toke it deliberately because he knew that without it his chances of triumphing against Tyrant would decrease exponentially.
2. Sure but this is Surtur without the twilight sword and the casket so recent events where these items was used is worthless in this debate 😬
3. Maybe you should start reading my post I have said stalemate through the entire thread and putting Tyrant at skyfather level nothing more nothing less. And if I remember correctly you agreed with me.
1. Thanos had already achieved what he wanted when he teleported away from Tyrant.
2. I never saw him actually hitting Odin with twilight, nor does it seem to give him any form of endurance boost.
3. No, he has virtually no feats that put him on Skyfather level. Thanos was more injured after fighting Ovin mercenaries. Are they going to take on Surtur as well now?
