Goku is a galaxy buster if we powerscale. Master Roshi destroyed the moon in DB part one(power level 100-ish), Goku was a bullet timer in part one as a kid(power level 100-is). When he fought Frieza as a Super Saiyan, his power level was in millions. Now in the anime, Kid Buu destroyed one galaxy with one blast and SSJ 3 Goku went toe-to-toe with him.
Goku for me if anime is allowed. Superman if it isn't.

Besides goku has survived planet destroying plasts,and has delivered them,all with ease.Amped to the right levels(probably SS3 or higher)he could probably beat supes.

Both Goku and Vegeta are saiyans. Why would one be able to breathe is space and not the other?Goku also went to the moon in Dragon Ball part one. And this happened in the manga.
