The Anime is canon when you consider this fight is about Anime Buu.
Why? Because the picture on the first page is from the anime? That's stupid and you know it. It's obviously just the first and easiest picture he found, that's no reson to override the real canon material and use plot - hole riddled filler crap.

He's been doing this on multiple forums for years.

So I guess you don't consider any of the spiderman comics that weren't written by Stan Lee to be canon either...
No, because Marvel declares them to be canon, part of the continuity.
In anime and manga, in most cases, only the original manga is canon. The anime is just an adaptation of the manga created by an animation studio, like the Spider-man movies are an adaptation of the comics. If the author or copyright holder declares a different canon policy, then we use that. Otherwise, manga is the default.

Toriyama did do "Filler"Ther is no such thing as "Filler."
Filler are episodes that weren't in the manga.
They were written by the animation studio.
Toriyama contributed character designs and general ideas, but he never actually wrote the script or story for any filler episodes.

Actually, i'll apply this to other things, as well... I'll ignore all Spiderman evidence that wasn't written by Stan Lee... And actually I can apply that to all comics.
I guess pretty much every marvel comic on the market is non-canon by that logic.

Okay... Yeah, that's great logic... I'll just ignore any anime evidence despite the fact that this is the Buu from the anime... Great idea. After all, the original creator didn't write it.Actually, i'll apply this to other things, as well... I'll ignore all Spiderman evidence that wasn't written by Stan Lee... So I guess in the anime:
Goku and Picollo using ki blasts had trouble lifting a bus
SSJ Goku got hurt when Krillin lightly tossed a rock at his head
Goku got eaten by a fish
Gohan had trouble carrying a few logs of firewood
Ki blasts can be visually tracked at only a few dozen/hundred meters per second, and are still claimed to be too fast to avoid
etc. ad infinitum

Yep!!! It exists doesn't it???
No different from Firelord getting beat by Spider-man
Hulk getting choked out by a Snake!!!
Classic Juggs getting trapped under heavy debris and couldn't get out ofr days!
Silver Surfer getting Headlocked by Black Panther!!!!
Anime is REAL and does exist.
