That's okay. It takes all kinds.

Funny thing is, when a friend introduced me to the series he tried me to get interested in Mikuru. But rather I myself like Haruhi most in the series.

Plus you have to admit there's a striking similarity there.

The base concept is similar, a godlike entity who created the universe without being aware of it, but Azathoth to me is an Eldritch being that inspires horror and maybe awe, Haruhi just makes me want to peel her flesh from off the bones with a butterknife.

So she still inspires great negative emotion.

Personally being a professional platonic nightmare fetishist I don't feel the horror aspect of the Eldith beings.

If you can look beyond your dark feelings toward Haruhi, where would you place her?

(Though honestly I think that it's a bit extreme to wish to inflict that upon her.)

I really don't think we should be mucking around with cosmic/abstract tiers. When you muck around with that you end up with guys like Mr Master. 😛

But if we're going to have an abstract tier then I nominate Q from Star Trek for Abstract.

Where would we put, say, Kirby?

^ Mid Meta maybe?

I'm not sure whether or not his absorption ability should be factored in.

We have an abstract tier.

Abstract Level:
Dialga [Pokemon], Palkia [Pokemon]

Skyfather Level:
Pyron,

Sub-Skyfather (Transcendent) Level:
Z, Unicron

I understand that. And I'm somewhat against it.

I know but Wonder Woman was also shown as a back stander... she wasnt relied upon but during the time Mcduffie starred her as being one of the most powerful on the JLA she has taken on Amazo better than anyone on the JLA and she has soloed Konvikt, etc...

Superman is still getting spot light, he was the center of attention when a second moon was created that was going to destroy earth and I disagree with Superman being written poorly. I think he is writing everyone where they should be at.

What makes you think Blue was weaker? Is it because of his showing against the Doomsday that was created by Myxy because if soooo, I wouldnt base it off of that.

umm, no she didn't.

superman did the moon thing. that's it. during mcduffie's run he was underused and under powered (literally at one point). he was also written as being both useless in a fight AND out of character more than once (actually a lot). i don't see how you could suggest otherwise.

mcuffie proved without a doubt that he has no idea how to write superman in a team setting.

and it isn't just superman. wally, hal, red tornado, even kimiyo hoshi was mistreated.

no, i'm basing it on his general showings. i didn't say he was much weaker, just that he was physically weaker.

I nod this.

Let's see, kirby is about 8 inches tall. If we take that he's average height for his planet then he's about 11.1111111 Percent the ssize of the average human.. if his planet is about the equivilent size then his planet (if it were the same shape as earth) would be 2,766.83889 miles across? If it were .111111111 times the size of earth that is. That would be a little bit bigger than the moon.

Support Q for abstract.

I do as well.

Being able to change the gravitational constant of the universe is no small feat.

Are threads concerning abstracts common? If not, I don't really see the point. This threads exists to give a general idea for the cross genre vs. threads, right? If they're unlikely to be used in a thread, I'm not sure we really need to rank them. Unless, of course, people are just trying to get others to rank their favorite character higher.

Also: I doubt that mingame is canon for Kirby. I just like it.

It also helps if people think that a given being is of a lower power level.

This might help prevent one sided fights such as Q vs Silver Surfer, for example.

I would buy an ST: TNG/Silver Surfer comic in a heart beat. 😄
