I dont recall Nova EVER doing any sonic booms while on earth but he has FTL speed space flight feats. Goku as a child has proven that he far above the speed of sound so you saying that him as an adult which is millions of times more powerful isnt faster than sound is crazy.

Sound isnt nothing to Goku. Hell, in regular dragonball, as a child Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha was running at 800mps and that was during the time they had a powerlevel of 150.

No one ever said Superman couldnt 'take' a punch from Colossus. What I said was Superman couldnt 'TANK' a punch from Colossus and if you knew Colossus feats, you would know this was the truth.

Look at Secret wars and look at ALL the people colossus knocked off of their feats with his punch.

He also KOED an angry Hulk. He punched GLADIATOR off of his feats, a guy that has on panel showings of towing planets and busting planets and swimming in stars and surviving solar system destroying blast. Colossus, knocked him COMPLETELY off of his feat, even damaged his uniform.

Colossus also knocked the Juggernaut off of his feat. Hell, Colossus punched Juggernaut a couple of feat. Colossus has punched through magneto force field...etc. Superman isnt tanking a punch from Colossus BUT he isnt being harmed that much by it either.

Bada, how am I lowballing Superman? The only thing that I am saying is that Frieza is faster than Supes. Thats not low balling him because I can provide proof to back up my claim. I'm not saying Superman is slow but what I am saying is that there are people out there that is faster.

I agree, its not fast but that isnt frieza only speed feat. I cant even recall frieza using the after image during any of his speed feats. He was moving much faster than that.

Look, a constructive conversation on DBZ apparently can not be accomplished at this time, and therefore, I'm issuing an executive order and putting a 3 week moratorium on the discussion of DBZ characters in this thread.

Hopefully the recess can settle things down and we can discuss a tier placement for the characters without all the needless bickering.

What are you talking about? First, I dont know of the feat in regards to Gambit harming Gladiator but if it did happen, its PIS. THEN, its a low showing and yes, if we are using low showings, Gambit can harm Superman since much less powerful people have. If we are using the norm for both Gladiator and Supes, then no, Gambit isnt harming him.

Honestly, I think they should make Illa a mod... he rarely if ever shows favortism and he always keep everything organized and in place and I have never seen him insult anyone.

He is mod material and again, I agree with the 3 weeks thingy. I dont see a problem with it. I'm discussing everything DBZ related with Pr through PM so that it would not flood the tier thread.

By the way Illa, you stated a while back that you base the tiers of each character off of versatility; with that said, where would you place someone like Superboy Prime. He has all of Supermans abilities but he is just more powerful. Going by showings, Supermans versatility>Primes.

So where would you place him?

Under his own powers (meaning not absorbing energy from a Guardian, or wearing that Anti-Monitor armor), I'd put Superboy/man Prime at High Herald, and would entertain an Elite Herald placement though I wouldn't put him there myself. I don't see him as ridiculously powerful, he's just a deranged, uninhibited version of Superman minus a glaring weakness and going full bore.

Also, thanks for your vote of confidence on Modding, but I already was a Mod a few years back and got de-modded for being too liberal and unintentionally stepping on the toes of another more tenured mod. I doubt he and his cohorts want me in the fold. I'd have to be more of a dick like Bada for them to take me back. 😛
