Not if there's nothing to back it up or it's contradicted. I guess Odin is omnipotent because the comic says he is, then?

Besides, characters are capable of lying, bluffing, being misinformed/wrong about things, etc. If every character in every fictional story always told the truth 100% of the time, it would be really boring.

Stuff like your example and the numerous times Superman says "I've never been hit like that!" can fit into hyperbole but there are things that simply can't be proven to be hyperbole.

I mean, you posted in the IG Respect Thread saying someone with the Power Gem can rip apart galaxies....we've seen several characters with the Gem and they've never come close to that.

That was if he tapped into the full potential of the gem. No one has done that so far (without having the rest of the IG).

then you'd need to prove it in order for it to be accepted as part of the character.

No, this thread was around long before the tourny got up and running. It was created back when multiple mediums were allowed to be debated in here. Even so it can strill be used to put other characters that are not comics but still allowed (characters from american cartoons, novels and comic books that aren't allowed in the regular teir/MA threads...

Ummm...I'm gonna go with High Abstract, matter of fact, just under Supreme Being, what with having one of the 3 Os(omnipotence).
