More open field would be nice...allowing some manga and comics incarnations of "primarly-known-from-the-other-media" charactersseems not to be too harmful...but on the other hand, comics only helps to avoid wast number of speculations and misinterpretation of some feats...it's sometimes hard to make valid system for tourney, as well as provide valid portfolio for characters.

If it's going to be amalgam though there are some combinations of manga characters that are just too cheap to imagine though. For example Kira from bleach combined with any speedster(every time his blade touches you you double in wieght.) or Yagami Raito combined with any character who excels in gathering information like Oracle.

Having a tournament with manga would be easier once we've established a decent manga/comic community... besides, the divided opinion on manga capabilities, along with the shaky evidence means that it would be hard for a tournament style. It would be easier for just comics... and KMC would pwn more.

Well in that case it seems almost certain that the battle would have to be held on a seperate board, although I'm not realy sure how the ability to edit your posts after 15 minutes would effect the tournament rules.

Also integrating Naruto chakra system or stuff like that into general system might be a pain in the arse...even the "simplest" calculations related to speedfeats might be rather difficult...I had the experience of doing that.

Later on though it would be fun to have a tournament between the comics forum and the anime/manga forum. but for now I'm all for whatever format will allow KMC to pwn more.

Fair enough. If the rules loosen up more (which seems probable) , this is definitely accomplishable.

Yeah I've been trying to calculate Bleach speeds and it's a huge pain.

But the weirdest thing to calculate in crossovers often becomes mental resistance and psi-manipulations related stuff. For example, how would Itachi fare against A-list telepath from Marvel or DC?

Speed is easier, if you can take comics analogue of said feat...that allows you to make an approximate calculation.

Don't we normally just rule out psionics in the tournaments for exactly that reason?

Well the one that I can think of is the working through the Guild system on gaia, which would allow for privacy, and avoid problems with having to get too many posts, but that wouldn't allow for the 15 minute rule. Unfortunately all the other fourms I can think of are all manga dominated.
