Zatanna/Black Adam/ vs. Thor/Talisman

Team 2 easily. Talisman casts a spell on Zatanna so that she cannot speak backwards (I'm sure she can do it somehow), while Thor distracts BA. Once Zatanna is neutralized, Talisman strips BA of his powers. She then shrinks both of them down and tosses them in the pouch for safe keeping.

OR, Talisman commands the air spirits to keep Zatanna from breathing (and therefore speaking) until she passes out. Thor distracts BA long enough for Talisman to neutralize him by absorbing/negating the magic which powers him (as I believe she did with one of the wrecking crew in OF #4 or #5). Once they are both neutralized, Talisman then shrinks them and drops them in the medicine pouch.

Either way, if Talisman is written properly Team 1 should go down pretty quickly.

Even if, however, Talisman is written poorly this most likely stalemates, with Team 1 still having a slight advantage IMO.

Zatanna doesn't need to speak to perform her magic. it's just a gimmick she uses. I think this is a stalemate or win for marvel based upon thor being superior to BA in that Thor I think, can drain beings of thier magic. Now I dont' know if he can drain a being like BA. but if he can, then this is slight win for marvel. Talisman is IMO, the same lvl as Zatanna.

But so can Zatanna. She showed this when she gave batman a simple spell that short circuited Circe.

But the point is Zatanna needs a spell to do that. Talisman can absorb/negate magical energy without a spell. Hell, she's even done it without the Coronet of Power. Zatanna can do NOTHING to stop her, short of maybe clocking her with a strong right cross. But Talisman has had some decent martial arts training, so I doubt even that would help much.

Nvr, much s I like Zatanna, Talisman destroys her. Talisman has eons of magic crammed into her head and Shaman's medicine pouch. She's on Dr. Strange's level, and I mean the classic Sorcerer Supreme of the 616 universe Strange, not the 'I can't even beat Hand Ninjas' Strange. 😉

Well, Zatanna, With kid gloves on, banished mary marvel, who has some kind of power up from eclipso. Zatanna summoned a genie for crist sakes. And zatanna did short circuit circe. Talisman isn't as powerful as people make her out to be, or she surely wouldn't be on a team. She could do it all her own.

It's a gimmick she does to concentrate as she needs to do it to help her focus. Performing the spells without saying it backwards as noted by her is dangerous as she can easily mess up. Even recently Talisman was draining out a Tanaraq charged Wrecking Crew where one [ie. Wrecker] just pounded Beta Ray Bill to a bloody mess and her shields blocked their planet crushing blows thanks to their upgrade. What? No Zatanna isn't even close to being on Talisman's level. You think Zatanna can take Llan? Hell she is the jail keeper for the Ska'r as she banished their entire race plus their city and hundreds of thousands of people to a back water dimension and holds them captive as they can destroy the planet by causing everyone to go crazy.

Actually she rarely ever truly worked WITh Alpha Flight, except for early on when Shaman was trying to help her grow into her powers. In fact, she has worked against them before, and even manipulated them into getting beaten pretty badly by Pestilence, whom IIRC she probably could have taken out solo if she had been a bit more experienced and a bit less cocky.

Talisman never NEEDED to work with a team. That's just kind of how it ended up working out for her.

No. She does it out of homage to her father. Her mother is mystical and zatanna doesn't need to say any spells. She doesn't even need to concentrate. Zatanna has some awesome feats. i'm researching the net now. i've found that she is called the most powerful member of the JLA quite a few times barring the PS. i can almost bet, she and Talisman are in the field. I just ran across good feats for her. once i get thru going thru them all, i'll be back.

Incorrect, she has stated it multiple times as it's a form of concentration. I know Zatanna, please show me proof she doesn't need to say any words and she merely does it as a homage to her father which is incorrect. I know Zatanna, her best feat is when she battled a soressor [forget name, dressed like her fsther] and seemed like they were battling over the planet earth in giant forms.

You made me LOL.

As far as the bricks go, BA may have the strength, speed, etc. of the gods, but Thor IS a god. Accept no substitutes.

However, I think this more or less just sort of stalemates until one of the mages (most likely Talisman) can assist.

No. Zatanna's mother is from a magical race. They throw spells around for fun. The back wards thing is homage to her father. And she has some better feats that the fight on earth. I'll get back to you on this one.

This site you use, even alludes to the fact that Zatanna hasnt' discovered her limits if she has any.

Talisman is said to be equal to Dr.Strange himself, and she is the Spirit Binder. WHich means she commands spirits to her will. Such as the spirit of time and space, basically everything has a spirit and she can command it that's why she could control skyfathers

To this date she hasn't DONE anything to put her over Talisman and that's a fact. For instance absorb an entire universe in her head in mere seconds, it caused her brain damage which she shortly healed afterwards but if she didn't rush it she would have been fine.
