He's tired looking, on his knees, and dropped his sword because he has rods in him.

They're dead because Prissy killed them.

I do not know what you were going to say here but his sword was right on the ground, to his right hand, as though he just dropped it there. Those tiny rods indicate that he did not dodge the big rod creature fast enough when he sliced it in half or sliced off a limb (the rod beings shoot out small ones when sliced). He also has damage to his head: he's bleeding from his head. Seems like he had quite the battle.

Or that he was hit by the small rods when Prissy killed a big creature.

I think it's something of a presumption to assume that he can 'take on' rod beings or did much more than defend himself a little when Priscilla was there the entire battle.

New Claymore chapter is finally out.

Spoiler:
Clare's back!!! yay! and we finally find out what the stigma is. Having an untreatable cut right down the middle of your body is quite tame for this series at least. Though I guess it makes sense why people would be freaked out by it. And then there was the big hug that everyone was waiting for.

Now to see how Yagi carries the story next with the Dragonkin and whatnot

Glad to see Clare back. But it is crazy that Priscilla is going to be back. Also, the "gross" thing that they keep talking about...interesting. So if that's it, then Raki can still get it on with Clare, no prob.

None of this, at all, contradicts what I've said on the topic, though. This is why your comments on the topic don't make sense. And he's not on his knees just because of the rods: he also has battle damage.

Based on his battle damage and what Priscilla has said/done, it is possible that she did hardly anything and Raki did most of it.

Or that he was fighting the rods, period, regardless of whatever scenario or circumstance you want to put on the situation. He has damage. There is no denying that he fought them.

Actually, there is zero assuming involved that he did take on "rod beings" because that is exactly what he did.

I think it's quite the assumption that he didn't fight the rod beings when he clearly has damage, is on par or better than most Claymore, and seems to have held his own with ease against a future generation #1 twin set (thought they both admit to holding back...in a sense).

It takes a much greater suspension of disbelief to say Raki didn't fight the rod beings than it is to say he fought them.

Not much happened this chapter. I was expecting a lot more.

Huh, Yuma's the second oldest 🙂

Yeah that is suprising. Was expecting to see more of Raki and Clare for some reason but whatever 😐

lol

You read too many of those fan pron things.

Yeah I guess so...but considering that we've been waiting for this moment for years I thought there would be a little more follow up on those two.

But once again whatever

CLARE! STOP STEALING PEOPLE'S POWERS!

That's four you've stolen now. FOUR! That's more than Roxanne and her thing is copying powers!

I wouldn't say 4 exaclty. Clare's new power appears to be an amp of what she could already do thanks to Teresa.

Also I couldn't really tell but was Galetea holding that guy in place or what?

Pretty cool stuff even though it felt short. Nice to see Claymore this week 🙂

It seems like a different sensory style, and it was noted to be Rafaele's.

Yea, I think so. Like the awakened being who did that way back in the day.

Well Teresa's power was the equivalent of pre-cog. Rafaela's power could probably be akin to something like auto-aim perhaps?

If Galetea used the same trick she did against Dauff then I guess that makes sense.

Or something like better spatial awareness. It was talking about fighting with eyes closed, and Clare was doing stuff like attacking targets in front and behind her at once.

Indeed, just improved.

It still in the same category of yoki perception so I still think it's an upgrade to Clare's base power. At least she didn't get something like the multiplier power Galetea has.

Well, even among Yoki perceivers, it's used in different ways.

Teresa's and Clare's is about reading the yoki within an opponent very well. This one seems to be seeing yoki floating around as 'threads' more.

New Claymore chapter is out.

Holy shit.

Claymore is definitely my new favorite manga...just slightly ahead of Berserk.

It is just so much damn better than any out there.

And, that thing about Raki: does that mean he will be "transformed" into a warrior or has Raki been given a power from Isley? Or does it simply mean that Raki can get a killing blow on Priscilla because Priscilla trusts him?

Yea, I'm not sure either. Maybe the latter, since he said Raki had zero connection to yoma flesh, but who knows?

And the thing with Riful's remains!

Nice chapter this time.

But what was that stuff about it not being Riful but similar? WTF, man?

But I'm glad Riful remained alive. She was quite level headed and fair...for the most part. If I lived in that world, I'd have no problems serving her.

The 7-Ghosts should have sided with her. Idiots!

I think it's like, her personality was probably destroyed, but enough of her was left and she's decentralized enough that it grew into a 'new Riful'?

At least that's my guess.

Well, things are working out pretty well for them overall.

They couldn't have likely pulled off the rebellion if they worked with an Abyssal.
