Agreed, but I was joking in my post, and was calling the entire concept of RG, a game mechanic. 😛
That said, what would place as the upper limit for RG?

Should be a reboot/alternate reality story IMO.
Dante was what, 19 in DMC3? Will they make DmC Dante a chain-smoking 15 year old?
BT- Best for its own thread but cba to find&bump <-< So far its the same Dante in the same canon story, dev's said that the Dante in this game will eventually become the guy we know. Will have to wait 'til it comes out to be sure. Or if they ever decide to give any more info out 😐 The game may come out before the next trailer does...
DP- You... >:
Hm.. could go by the best thing RG can block in-game[Savior's mega-beam], placing it above Dante's normal defense[so Savior punch+] or by the Novel where he goes Dreadnaught to tank the mega-beam[...mega-beam]. IMO RG's limit would be a good deal above a punch from the Savior and equal to its beam, with Dreadnaught being above it.
Originally posted by killermoverNot the most overpowered. I would nominate the prince in Prince of Persia (2008) for that. No matter what you do as a player, he can not die 😛
Probably the most overpowered video game protagonist ever, thats successful of course.
If you meant powerful, I do not agree with that either. In ActRaiser you supposedly play the Judeo-Christian God 😛
Sharing some feats Ive come across. And well done DeBel for covering everything~
Items and weapons:
Items:
Smell of Fear- "This will allow you to avoid enemy attack up to three times."
Untouchable- "A shield will surround the body, protecting you from any attack for a certain period. You will also be in a Devil Trigger state during this period."
Excusing the no-limits fallacy these items would still be aiding in defense.
Holy Star- Purifies the users body, can cure things such as poison.
Holy Water- Made to destroy evil, demons and other enemies around the user. For a gameplay scale, it can take off a quarter of a bosses health.
Devil Hearts:
Dante and Lucia can use 9 different amulets in their Devil Trigger state to enhance themselves in different ways.
Attribute- Flame, Frost and Electro Heart. They add flame, ice and lightning element to the users attacks.
Movement- Aqua, Aerial and Quick Heart. They enhance the users movement in water, allows them to fly and enhances speed. As flight is an already set ability shown by the cutscenes the Aerial Heart is kinda redundant outside of gameplay. Quick Heart makes the user move twice as fast as normal.
Support- Chrono, Healing and Offence Heart. Allows the user to slow down time when attacking, increases regeneration rate and increases strength. Chrono heart reduces time to 1/5th normal speed, or makes the user appear 5x faster when attacking. Offense heart is on the same basis as the Quick Heart with double strength.
Guns:
As stated in the novel Nero uses two types of ammo in conjunction with a small lag inbetween the hits. The first bullet is to break the foes armour, or tough demon hide, while the second is to break through the weakened area to inflict the main damage. The Blue Rose is based on a heavily modified S&W Model 500 which can fire at 600-630m/s, his Blue Rose is above this due to modifications. Dante's Ebony and Ivory can match or beat this speed like when he counters Nero's shots by fireing at the same time or after Nero does.
Nero can charge his guns in a similar yet different manner to Dante' While Dante charges his guns strength for a short while, Nero can charge a single shot with a special magic that when the bullethits the targer they "ignite their target with deadly flames," of if further charged "enemies will be overwhelmed from within by violent magical energy. After being exposed to this magic, it will cause an explosion within a foe."
Against Lady, Dante's E&I rate of fire each match her Uzi's of 600rpm.
With a single shot he can destroy, though a worn out, Berial and Echidna. E&I can launch Arius through and break around 20 tons of the rock wall. As shown in DMC1 Dante can charge his bullets with different elements like fire and electricity.
Devil Arms:
Cerberus:
Nothing besides its power to instantly freeze large areas and that it has a range of around 10 meters.
Lucifer:
This weapon isnt really used for its strength but it still has the explosive force to seperate a large sized monolith, a 1000cmx100cmx0.1cm part destroyed. Now thats only 10000cm3 of rock or the equivilant of a 20cm rock cube exploding, so not much. But if that area destroying explosion happens inside the victum who's stabbed, and with dozens of them being jammed into them, most would be blown to shreads.
Alastor
The description says it gives him lightning speed, could possible be in DT form only. Either way it increases his speed. It also has a good blast attack on it and grants him the Air Raid ability to shoot lightning from his hands.
Pandora:
PF124 Hatred- A strong enough blast to launch the four 150ton frogs up at supersonic speed. [Launched them 5.75x their 6m height in 0.1 second, thats 345m/s. Mach 1. 8GJ shockwave force, not destruction. Great for crown control.]
PF594 Argument- Indevidually weaker then Hatred but as a whole are just as destructive.
PF398 Revenge- In the game one shot is enough to knock the Savior out temporarily.
PF666 Omen- In the novel Dante used this move to make a few low elite [Fodder demons<Elites<Bosses] Angelos instantly vanish.
Gauntlets:
With the gauntlets like Beowulf, Ifrit and Gilgamesh, the user is 5x stronger then normal. Strength increase explained below.
Rebellion:
Dante can charge his Rebellion with demon energy to increase its power as shown by several techniques or fire shockwaves.
Sparda:
While channeling the powers of the Sparda blade Dante can use the energy that Sparda sealed inside the blade. It gives him immense stat boosts above that of his normal DT. For an idea of the increase it can take a physically weak indevidual like Sanctus and turn him into a physical beast who can trade blows with Nero while at the same time powering the Savior. And Sanctus couldnt even draw out its full power.
In this form Dante can use its most powerful attack, the Spectral Dragon. "Emit a giant spectral dragon which resembles Sparda. This attack consumes all of your DT Gauge and its power varies depending on how much the gauge was filled when summoned." In gameplay it can take away over a third of Munsus' health. Being formed by the full force of Dante's demonic energy and that of the Sparda blade means it dishes out more force then any other move in the series. And being a spectral attack that goes right through the opponent means physical defenses wont do much to defend against this.
Yamato:
Besides the already known Skyscraper slash is its great cutting prowess. Sanctus, who only has an old mans strength as he didnt gain physical strength from his powers [also mentioned in the novel], was able to stab and pierce Nero's DB arm. The same arm that could resist a stab by the much stronger Dante. Eg; If Sanctus could with a 100J [still physically a weak human] stab where Dante with a 100,000J [0.01% of his strength] stab could not, Yamato would have a cutting force 1000x that of another sword.
Before the 'Vergil couldnt cut through a bazooka' point keep in mind that Devil Arms are linked to the weilders and their state and can gain more strength if the user so wishes. In the case of Lady, Vergil did not see her as a threat and was concerned with fightning Dante at the time, meaning he had no use in killng her. And as Jester says after catching it "You could have cut me up into confettii by now if you were in tip-top condition." Theres also the thing that can counter Yamato, like other Devil Arms, is other concentrations of demonic powers like Rebellion, the Devil Bringer or the Savior's jewles.
Yamato shows the Devil Arms ability to be stored by the wielded supernaturally to be summoned to hand on command.
Before getting into Dante, and partly Vergil by comparison, lets cover two other individuals...
Two other individuals:
Arkham/Jester:
He has the speed to dodge E&I and can outspeed the worn out twins who could still react to a 700m/s rocket giving this guy Mach 3+ speeds. This also means that when the Sparda twins are worn out they can still get near Mach 3.
Nero:
In their matches Dante was moving at speeds confortably above the Blue Roses bullet speeds, most likely like that of the Jester at over Mach 3. Nero was able to match Dante's speed in these scene and at times besting it. I think its safe to assume that Agnus, Credo and Sanctus hit Mach 3 in their devil forms like Nero and the Jester, who is a fellow human-turned demon, do. Well, in Sanctus' case as he wasnt made with a demon body like the others, so only his reactions would be at this level. With the Sparda blade amping him Sanctus gets a boost from what he and his underlings had before, est Mach 4. Now when Nero unlockes his DT his human body increases in stats just like Dante's did. In the fight between an amped Sanctus the unlocked Nero was able to best his speed on two occasions. Nero's speed is at a hypersonic Mach 5 in human form.
His human strength is still superhuman. With his DB being at Savior busting levels.
His constantly DT'd Devil Bringer arm can be offensive and defensive to Savior strength levels, a long range and can increase in size.
He also carries along some Sparda level regen in his Devil Trigger state with the basic amped strength and speed. In this state Nero gains Vergil's ability to fire Summoned Swords when he fires his gun. His DT spirit is unique to the others in that the devil spirit looms over his back and can move independantly of Nero making it like fighting two opponents at the same time. This form allows him to fire blade beams.
..Now back to the plot...
Defenses:
Misc:
From the DMC anime the Demon Mask demon is made of and spits a powerful, corrosive acid. Dante was able to resists being inside it. Some tempreture resistance comes from facing off against the more or less abosolute zero Frosts, sitting on the hellfire tail of Beriel, in the novel was able to tank his final charge, and take the exploding flames of Ifrit's hellfire. To shot hellfires heat is that its the Frost's weakness when their bodies are impervious to other such heat like that of magma.
Mind, Soul and dimension hopping:
As Nightmare's bio says "When you are surrounded in its gel-like form, you will be teleported into an evil dimension. You must defeat the evil spirits that rule the dimension. The evil is a reflection of Dante’s trauma that rests in his subconscious." This shows Dante is able to keep calm under his own mental trauma. This trauma is; Being abandoned by his father who was a demon like those that killed his mother and brother(as he thought) in front of him, living knowing hes a demon and holding resentment over that, whatever happened in the new DmC, finding and being unable to save his brother, seeing Trish who has the image of his mother and then being the one to kill his brother as Nelo Angelo. Takes it without any issues and does another feat of escaping from another dimension. To a lesser extent escaping from the Faults inner dimension as well, done by Nero and Dante.
Dante has some soul resistance in the form of the Haywire Neo-Generator which in exchange for power drains the wielders soul. Though the soul sucking brings him to his knees in his human form, his devil form can take still function normally. Another example is the Soul Eater demons who feast on the soul. If Dante is caught by one, like with the Generator, using DT will counter it.
Then theres Vergil. After being literally broken down to the raw pieces and put back together to be Mundus' puppet, he was still able to resist this level of controle and even regain his mind from the powerful curruption. Not on the same level but the Novel states that while being absorbed by the Savior his body was starting to melt or disintergrate and that it was due to his strong will to live and save Kyrie he was able to retain his consciousness and resist his body being fully destroyed in the absorption.
Durability:
Although a bullet can pierce his flesh it cant penertrate Dante's skull. And Lady's guns a powerful enough to take down fodder demons what normal guns couldn't do. But as already known his blunt durability outclasses his penetrative one. Taking 20 punches from the DB of Nero, hit by the Savior and Abigail then taking these hits like they were nothing are good examples. The strength figures that Dante can take are listed below.
Regeneration:
The Sparda bloodline comes with fast regeneration. Its fast enough that the person can be cut in half and heal fast enought to instantly close the gap before the blade leaves the body. Its potant enough to heal large wounds, even ones that tear the heart and other organs apart and break some ribs and the spine all with an unhealthy amount of blood loss. It allows them to take deadly blows in their stride and casually continue what they were doing.
Demonic Energy:
Dante has can flex his demonic energy around himself to throw his demonic aura to act like a shield that can block and deflect physical and magical attacks. Catching the bike also shows a form of, albit weak, telekinetic powers enough to lift up 200kg. Still enough to hold 2 or 3 people. This comes with a decent range and some combat use or for making mid-air platforms like in his Flipper, Air Hike and Sky Star techniques. The latter two being able to be used move times with DT. Another Trickster move coming from his demonic powers is Dante's teleport, Air Trick which he may have used on Dagon and the Savior.
It also has some offensive properties. This Aura is similar to the DT flux explosion Shown by Dante, Vergil and Nero as a temporary shield and attack.
Devil Trigger:
His DT has better durability than his normal form, better shown with Nero's Devil bringer arm which is basically an arm in constant Devil Trigger mode is like armoured skin.
Royal Guard:
It comes down to 4 parts; Block, absorb, punch, armour.
Block, the block:
"Minimize the damage taken from an enemy's attack, while at the same time accumulating power within the Royal Gauge." "Evade an enemy's attack at the last second to avoid damage and greatly increase the angry energy stored within the Royal Gauge." Able to take most things that can harm Dante and reduce/null the damage. Its basically Dante's defense+.
Ultimate, the absorb:
"Block enemy attacks and convert the block energy into life power for yourself"
AKA using stored energy to heal himself. Very useful if facing an equal leveled opponent who is hoping to win the stamina game.
Release, the punch:
"Release all the energy stored in the Royal Gauge, and lash out at your enemies with an explosion of dreadful power." "Release all the anger stored within you as a violent, damaging counter-attack against those unfortunate enough to provoke you." Taking all of the energy absorbed from the opponents attacks and putting it all into a single punch. Circumstantiality his strongest move.
Dreadnaught, the armour:
"A mysterious technique that transforms the body into a seemingly metallic shell impervious to enemy assault. The duration of the technique is linked to the amount of energy stored within the Royal Gauge." Dante's final and greatest defense to counter things he wouldnt normally be able to. With it he can walk through the strongest attacks in the game. The Novel has Dante automatically becoming DN to tank the Saviors MegaBeam without a scratch, compared that beam to its much weaker move or the ones used by Abigail. Its like DT but with much greater defense, no attack change but reduced speed.
Skills:
Time:
Using the Quicksilver ability he got from Geryon gives him a great skill and appeared speed image. Rocks fall at least 1000cm/s, in Dante's perspective they were moving at most 1cm/s. Time was slowed down to 1/1000th normal speed. Eg after QS E&I's bullet speed would seem to be over 10 times faster than a [60000m/s] lightning bolt, normal walking speed would seem to be at Mach 4 and a garden snail with QS will look like its moving at 30 mph...
Nothing compared to the Bangle of Time which outright stops time. Trivia: In Bayonetta it is aparently the same as the Bracelet of Time she can obtain. This Bracelet was made by a witch called Eva, he name of the twins mother, and given to a Legendary Dark Knight.
Doppelganger:
Dante's shadow clone.. literally. By using Doppelganger Dante can make a solid clone of himself made of shadows. It can move and fight like he can with all the same techniques. Basically two Dante's andthe only way to get rid of it being if Dante turns it off. Has only shown to be able to make one clone with a slight possibility of making more;
"Style that allows the player to control shadows, effectively creating copies of himself to assist in battle."
Devil Trigger:
Triggering their devil side gives the demon user a boost in strength, speed, regeneration and durability. Take Nero and his DT and DB arm for example; His human self can be stabbed normally, his Devil Bringer can resisted impalement from Dante. His human self can match Beriel in strength compared to his DB which can match the Savior and Dante. Or his human+ regen risen to Sparda levels in DT. Arent any scenes showing the inreased movement speed DT gives, however as everything else is brought to high levels its safe to say its up there with the rest. Some Triggers grant characters the ability to fly. These would be Lucia and Dante in 1 and 2 with the ability to partially fly/glide in 3 and planned flight in 4 via concept art. Besides a deeper voice it also gives the user much better controle and use of their demonic energy shown with, eg, Dante's stinger normally having a small burst of energy around it normally and being much more powerful, visible and drill-like with DT. Or how his gun shots in Devil Trigger are all automatically charged shots. In DMC2 his DT form even turns E&I into two 6 barrel machine guns coming out of his palms insentially turning his two pistols into twelve.
Majin Form:
Dante's strongest form attainable, Majin form, otherwise known as Desperation Devil Trigger or DDT. In this form his speed and strength are above what his regular Devil Trigger gives combined with the impressive durability of Dreadnaught. Or perhaps above seeing as his DMC2 DT has him tanking blasts close to what DN form can take. Majin form comes with two pairs of wings, two blade protruding from his arms with a 5m+ blade length and a towering height of 3m/10ft. In this form Dante can also fire large energy fireballs but his most devistating attacks are his light and dark blasts. The light blast is an AoE attack that hits everything around him. The dark blast is a concentrated linear beam that hits everything ahead of him. Both blasts have the power to one-shot every enemy in the game [two-shot the bosses on the hardest mode]. Might not be saying much as his normal attacks can do great damage but the blast does so at a much faster rate.
Jackpot!:
The final nail in the coffin to end a battle of finish a foe who wont go down. Its a special charged shot fired from E&I to seal the opponent somewhere in the underworld. It has been used 3, and almost 4 times in the series.
The first is against the Sparda enhanced Arkham where the twins where the shot re-seals Sparda's power back into the Forced Edge blade. Also shown in MvC3 as one of his specials.
The next was to seal Mundus off in the underworld, Dante had used up to much energy to do this move so Trish gave him some of hers so he had enough to excecute him. Was partially shown against Sid in the anime.
The last time was to finish off Argosax.
Dante was about to use it in DMC4, following his earlier statement, but was stopped by Nero who felt it was his mission to finish it off.
Speed:
Vergil:
Vergil likes to get the job done without playing around, like his tendancy to stike foes down without speaking a word. His seperate speed feat shows this ruthlessness. Assuming the Hell Abyss are faster than normal humans so for this I'll have their speed at below peak human, so 15m/s, from Vergil's perspective they were moving at 0.05m/s. 1/300th their speed to him meaning his movements were 300x what they appeared to be. This makes Vergils average human looking 10m/s attacks actually moving at 3,000m/s or Mach 9.
Note- With a bare minimal rainfall speed of 2m/s with their bare minimal movement speed of 2.5m/s, the twins would be moving at around Mach 15 again.
Tower dive:
The tower dive. When running down the tower Dante gets to such speeds that he shows visible friction heat. It was discussed on our cousin-site that an object, at least one the size of a fist, would need to be moving at Mach 5-10 for that to happen. His Rebellion was hitting this speed. Being a sword with a very small frontal surface area it would need to achieve greater speeds to get the same results. With the speed the sword was moving, Dante was moving around 1.5x its speed to catch up to it. This puts his speed in that scene comfortably in the Mach 10 area.
Bullet time:
Dante was able to fire his bullets to match Lady's bullets in mid air. Assuming that Lady is using a pair of Uzi's with a muzzle velocity of 400m/s, that the shotest distance between their guns is around 30cm and that Dante fired at her bullets at the half way point aka after 15cm.
As seen here Dante hits at Lady's bullets at the 15cm halfway point, for a 400m/s bullet to hit a 700m/s bullet in the middle Dante would have to fire when her bullet moved 10cm. 0.1/400 = The reactions needed for the feat need to be 0.00025 seconds. This gives Dante a melee speed of 4,000 m/s or Mach 12 in the melee range of 1 meter. Different methods of this feat give figures around Mach 8. Credit to OBD's God Movement for the calc.
Rain:
Dante's most popular speed feat, the rain scene. Rain falls between 3m/s to 9m/s, when the twins get to speed the raindrops seem to not be moving at all. For the sake of fairness Ill used a rainfall speed of 5m/s and after movement speed of 0.001m/s[1mm/s]. That makes the speed reduction appear to be 1/5000th that of normal aka giving the twins a partially lowballed speed of 5,000m/s or basically Mach 15. Partially lowballed for using an average fall speed and not using a the further movement speeds the twins are doing duing this time effect.
Blitz:
For reactions Dante was able to defeat Blitz who itself can move and more importantly evade attacks at lightning speed and can fire of lightning bolts.
Strength:
Dante has the strength and speed, though most of his destructive feats coming from energy blasts and other kind of moves. Thats not to say he lacks physical destructive moves. With an upthrust he's able to do destroy a roof as a side effect from hitting a demon nowhere near the roof. For more intentional purposes he can do the same thing with much higher results.
Using a burst of DT Dante was able to cause the whole rooftop to explode and destory Abigale, one of the 5 strongest characters in DMC excluding Dante who could regenerate from a pool of blood, in one strike.
After his awakening DMC3 Dante demonstrates 300-400KJ strength when destroying the statue, damage is in comparrison to grenades and car damage. Then theres Vergil and Beowulf. Beowulf is a 15-20 ton beast with Dante being as tall as his knee, the ceiling 20m high seeing as the door Vergil enters through is 8x taller then him. With the Beowulf gauntlets equipped Vergil is able to punch Beowulfs 15-20 ton corpse to the 20m ceiling in about a second. This makes that hit in the 2MJ area. With the gauntlets, like Beowulf, Ifrit and Gilgamesh, the user is 5x stronger then normal, allowing them to one-inch punch your house down.
Dante's strength level can match the biggest foes in his verse. He was able to match and counter an attack from Abigail. With a stomp he was able to shatter and partly destroy a skyscraper. For a more solid number he threw a large stone spike figure at great speeds. The spike cone has a 1254cm height and a 135cm radius. The density of the cone is that of marble or limestone, 2.6g/cm3, with the two bases at stones density of 2.5g/cm3.
Cone Volume = (1/3)πr2h
V = 0.333*pi*135^2*1254
V = 23,932,809.91468 cm3
23,932,809.91468 * 2.6 =
62,225,305.8 g = 62,225.3058 kg = 68.591 tons
Then theres the broken cube stand. Results halved for being broken.
V = 260^3
V = 17,576,000 cm3
17,576,000 * 2.5 =
43,940,000 g = 43940 kg = 43.435 tons
And the base holding the cone.
V = 270 * 270 * 30
V = 2,187,000
2,187,000 * 2.5 =
5,467,500 g = 5467.5 kg = 6 tons
Thats 111,632.806 kg totaled or 123 tons.
Abigail throws this spike from the top of the skyscraper to ground level in a second. The skyscraper is give or take 300m tall. Thats 300m/s.
(111,632.806*300^2)/2= 5,023,476,270 Joules.
This gives Abigail and Dante 5GJ strength in this scene where the force from their collision made a 30m radius of pressure around them.
Dante's most popular strength feat, the Savior punch. To note the Savior is in fact not hollow. The place where the characters walk around in is a dimension inside the Savior, with the jewles acting as portals. Proof for this is the visible portal when Yamato's pushed into it, that the Savior's body can contain massive areas larger than the Savior itself and how Nero could bust out of one of the jewles in the head even though the head is shown to be completely solid. According to the size chart made by Capcom, the head of the Savior is 16m high. From this picture we can see that the Savior is 10 heads high, or 160m tall. Compared to his figures, his forearm is 20m long. The same line on a normal person is 0.25m. This makes its arm 80^3x the mass of a persons. 512,000x. Its body is made of a marble/limestone type material of density 2.6g/cm3.
A persons forearm weighs 1,100 g
1,100 * 512,000 = 563,200,000 g
563,200,000 * 2.6 = 1,464,320,000 g
= 1,464,320 kg or 1,614.1365 tons
A persons hand weighs 400 g
400 * 512,000 = 532,480,000 g
532,480 kg or 586.958727 tons
The two horns on his wrist both roughly equal the weight of a hand.
A persons upper arm weighs 1,860 g
1,860 * 512,000 = 952,320,000 g
952,320,000 * 2.6 = 2,476,032,000 g
= 2,476,032 kg or 2,729.35808 tons
For the initial strike, the arm was flung at Dante at 100m/s. The weight in this move comes from the forearm, hand and both horns at 1,464,320 + 532,480 + 532,480 = 2,529,280 kg or 2788 tons
(2,529,280*(100^2))/2
= 12,646,400,000 Joules
The second part comes from throwing the 'corpse' of the Savior off of
himself. That the previous weight, upper arm and some of the body.
2,529,280 + 2,476,032 = 5,005,312 kg for the whole arm. For the rest of the upper body and head moved, as its hard to tell how much was moved I'll assume its another two arms worth for 15,015,936 kg.
With one arm Dante was able to push this weight off of him by 3m in 0.15s or 20m/s. 3 meters come from being past his lean forward and arm with sword length of 2.5m in just over 1/7th of a second.
(15,015,936*(20^2)/2
= 3,003,187,200 Joules
Then theres Nero's DB feat of the Savior hammering his fist down at Nero. Theres also crushing 2500 tons of the Savior's rock face and stopping the whole of the Savior from moving, but the former ones simpler. For simplicities sake only the hand+horns weight will be used as the weight that was on top of Nero for that type of attack, 1,064,960 kg. The distance was that of the Savior's waist to face area at 50m and the speed was a 1/3rd of a second, 150m/s. To compare to Dante his DB strength has been shown to be above or below Dante at times. And by 'at times' I mean depending on how Dante's feeling at the time. Basically Dante and Nero's DB are of equal stregth, it was said in the Novel that when Nero was taking on the Savior, Dante thought to himself that in terms of brute strength Nero may just be stronger.
(1,064,960*(150^2)/2
= 11,980,800,000 Joules
This make's the strength that Nero' DB and a one armed Dante gain from the Savior at 3GJ for the push, 11.98GJ for the hammer and 12.646GJ for the punch.
DmC:
I know its a bit soon but here are some things I checked out from the DmC trailer and gameplay just as a bench warmer for when the games out.
For starters he's strong enough to hurl cars around [1000kg at 10m/s = 50,000J or 50KJ] with his speed looking to be low superhuman [Around 30m/s for the movement as the ground-pound makes him move 6m in 0.2s]. Seems to be packing Blade Beams similar to his Drive technique with an AoE type attack that sends enemies skyward. Finally his 'Devil Trigger', besides a more familier Dante look it appears to grant superior strength and, based on the enemies ruduced speed, supersonic speed.
😊 Thats better. Anything more needed will be added and shall be on the new DmC once its out.

Dante was what, 19 in DMC3? Will they make DmC Dante a chain-smoking 15 year old?
Agreed. Frankly, I hope he gets a bit of a rehaul in his personality and mannerisms too; I'd like to finally take him a little seriously for once. Ignoring the nerdrage and initial shock factor of his drastic redesign from the fanbase, I don't know where to begin on explaining why putting out a cigarette on an enemy's head is already a better gesture of badassery than anything the old Dante ever did.
His personality is fine for the game he's in. And in the gamse he was 'not serious', 3 and 4, was because he was a teen with power with his attitude changin after Vergil's encounter. Or the 4th wheres hes become the strongest demon anyone knows of, kinda gives the guy a right to be more carefree.
Plus his style has more fans than haters, has its own uniqueness to it. A mix between his DMC1 and DMC4 self would be best to please the majority. As long as he has the base personality that all the Dante's have had it'll be fine.
