Oh, but then I guess it would've made it impossible for the player to beat him if he constantly did that 😛 (especially since there would be no Pikachu to save you during the battle).

Methinks it's best to just disregard anything Smash Brothers related when it comes to Metroid (or at least anything to do with its storyline).

I love how in the comic, that Sakurai says "NEXT!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!!" when Ridley cuts in line and lists his complaints. 😆 That pretty much summarizes the fact of there being no excuses for Ridley's exclusion from SSBB's roster, eh?

No excuses = Sakurai avoiding any type of questioning concerning the matter

Of course, if the real Sakurai was asked about Ridley's exclusion, I'm sure he actually would give an excuse, and therefore look like a total fool in the process.
