The Concept of No Afterlife

I would disagree to a point, dogma has changed over the years to meet the changing times though the main view still pretty much remains the same.

Yes, societal pressures toward mutual agreement have superceded dogma over the centuries (so it isn;t all negative), but it is still the unwavering beliefs of religions that create turmoil. Things like "Jesus is Lord" or "There is no God but Allah" are dogmatic, and represent the rigid mindset that can be used for good on an individual level, but is responsible for so much evil and intolerance on a larger level.

A shift toward the "Probable theories" of science would do all religions a lot of good.

Matter and Energy cannot be Created or Destroyed.

Expect at one point in time matter and energy had to be created (at the beginning).

Only if there was a beginning. What if energy was eternal?

Energy can, in fact, be created from nothing and destroyed. It happens all the time on the subatomic level, and has been observed and confirmed. The idea that it can't is an outdated concept from Einsteinian models of thinking, which work fine on larger scales but fall apart utterly at the subatomic level. It kinda negates the need for an omni-benevolent creator (who enjoys sacrifices and stealing from other mythologies, no less) to have made everything.

Shakya's idea is also a valid possibility. At the point of collapse, the universe doesn't have time like we think of it, because gravity is so bent inward on itself that it becomes something of an infinite loop. It's quite possible that the universe itself is simply an eternal body.

Agreed. I also appreciate the fact that you offer your perspective in a respectful manner. Many miss the point that how a stance is presented can often carry nearly as much weight as the stance itself.

Yes, thank you. That was much better then I could say it. 😄

Do I have to explain myself to you? I have a feeling you know what I'm talking about, but just want to give me a bad time. Intent is everything. 😛

its human nature to be scared. if you believe in the afterlife, what do you think happened before religion. what happened to cromagnun and the cavemen? where did they go. what happens to animals? they dont have souls? seeing as non of this is described in the bible its just so flawed, i just cant believe it
