The Two mighty beings become aware of each other while both are on a huge planet a world apart.
Thanos is annoyed at the thought of a being so like him actually existing.
DS own omnipotent senses are disgusted at the very touch of Thanos.
The two now are starting to make prep plans and use tech, as a mighty force comes in and disallows all tech and all prep. They must use only thier own personal power.
Thanos being the quick thinker that he is, realizes that He must win this battle quickly and physically.
DS is not dummy. He's one of the strongest beings in the DCU. But even he knows that His strength would not be enough to over come Thanos's durability.
Thanos moves slowly across planet until he sees DS. He lashes out with all his cosmic might and blast DS into nothing ness.
He hears laughter and a boom tube behind him as he howls in pain from an Omega Beam to the back side.
DS speaks, Pale imitation, You lack the ability to project avatars of yourself. This ability comes in quite handy.
Thanos humbled in pain, rushes DS and grabs him in a choke hold the likes of which, DS has never felt in all his days.
DS begins a triple assualt against the Mad titan. Launching a mental attack against Thanos , to losen his grib, a skillful physical assualt moving in and out of the way much like Gamora, and an animated planetary assualt. Causing the very ground itself to awaken and attack thanos.
Thanos is pissed now and shatters the stone statues as well as the ground. Thanos levitates himself after almost losing his footing.
Then DS realizes that Thanos cannot fly, nor is he as fast as he.
DS launches an all out assualt of powers that Thanos hasn't realized were DS to employ.
DS causes the sky to rumble and uses wind to attack Thanos.

Thanos laughs at the attempt to shake his confidence.

Thanos launches a cosmic beam of energy that almost kills DS. DS instantly uses the Omega EFFECT on HIMSELF.
We have seen the destructive power of the OE injure DS gravely. This time DS uses the OE to swap his injured body out with his body 5 seconds ago.
DS says to thanos, Mastery over time is another ability that eludes you mad Titan. I could if I so chose send you to the four corners of time. But DS is a ruthless and yet merciful God. Bow in my service and I'll spare you the humiliation of being BFR'd.
Thanos laughs at Ds request and launches a blast that could knock over Galactus.
DS opens up a boom tube and the blast vanishes.
DS speaks again. You seem to be short a few abilities Titan. Let me show you what a true God can do.
DS blast the ground and splits the planet down it's core. Leaving Thanos adrift in the gravity of what once was a planet. DS flies around Thanos blasting him from every angle. Thanos is not amused. He uses his own TK to grab an asteriod and uses it like a make shift surf board.
Touche Mad titan. I would have thought no ground to stand upon would be your own undoing.
Thanos speaks, Thanos of Titan is every bit your superior in combat and guile.
DS replies. ORLY? DS then Opens up twin black holes on either side of Thanos. DS says, let us test your strength against opposing forces of nature.
Thanos struggles to hold himself together and then DS begins to Blast thanos with Spectre lvl hurting OE's.
Thanos begins to faulter under all of the pressure. Thanos raises a circular shield to deflect DS OE blast.
DS Sends out finder beams and this is what happens to Thanos shield.

So much for shielding. Finder beams negate any and all barriers.
Thanos is blasted with the Full effect Omega Effect. He staggers. Yet he lives.
DS is out raged. He gives Thanos this speach:
You are a worthy Foe mad Titan. You like the old Gods, are able to resist the OE for a time. But in the end, you proved to be no God at all. You have no control over the elements, You cannot control reality, you can only resist its effects for a time. You cannot move at Super speed, you do not have the ability to fly or move thru out the space time continuim under your own power. You have never stalemated a being such as highfather. One who can rip assunder the very fabric of reality itself. You have never harmed any multiversal being let alone an omniversal one. I have injured the mighty spectre. I have also lended my power to the demise of the antimonitor and the Imperiex. The best I have seen thru my cosmic eye that you have done is knock the Mighty Galactus off of his feat. There are a many ways I can defeat you, But I find this one most fitting. You are able to resist the effects of reality manip. But you have been shown to still undergo the changes ever so breifly. I Now Depower you.
DS uses his power absorbtion power, and takes Thanos's might as his own, As he simultaniously uses reality manip to turn thanos into glass, as has been shown to happen. Then Opens up a boom tube and out comes the blast that Thanos shot from earlier.
DS hits Thanos who is now powerless and glass with another OE powered up by Thanos own power, and the blast from thanos sent hurling out of the boom tube.
Thanos is smashed into trillions of pieces. His conciousness trapped in each shard of glass as he is banned from Death by mistress.
The victory is and has always been DS for the taking.
In the End, Thanos proved to be a one trick pony. With nothing more than Blast and strength. While DS had power in spades as well as an infinite amount of ways to defeat the titan.
